Franchise modes are a passion for me; they are my go-to mode in any sports game. I truly enjoy the challenge in taking a struggling team and rebuilding them into one of the best teams in the league. It’s a very cerebral experience, one that requires a certain level of shrewdness. For years, our award winning Association mode has put you through the trials and tribulations of building a team that can co-exist while trying to win titles. We had some pretty defining features during the last generation in The Association, but for this generation, it’s a whole new game.

This is ASSOCIATION MODE. All of these things are KEY parts of the real world of the NBA. This is exactly what Association Mode needed to live up to 2K's billing of "best NBA simulation". Association Mode has long since become stale, it needed DEPTH to it.

- Certain players will now look for careers as Assistant Coaches (and later, Head Coaches) once their playing days are over. You’ll have the opportunity to bring them on-staff from the offseason free agent pool.

I might not even play the games, I think I'll focus on managing my team and just sim everything, instead of trying to win every game through skill alone. That way, I'll have to make careful decisions every time, because I won't be able to make up for any bad moves by outplaying the AI on the court.

So anyone with a concern should just keep their mouth shut? Thankfully, you will never design a game.

This kind of thing was done in the early 2Ks. Its nothing revolutionary, although it seems to be more indepth. As someone said, it all depends on the AI logic. This could fall flat on its face.

I cant believe nobody has mentioned the fact the owners are fictional, and so is the GM.

Unfortunately, they didnt turn the current association mode into the next gen season mode.

And when did I say he should keep his mouth shut ? I offered him an alternative which has the mode hes looking for.

Because they can't get permission to use real GM's/Owners. Odds are they will be based off real life counterparts, the name will just be different.

I'm just glad My GM is not going to turn into a CCM like Madden 13 where it's just player lock or you're the GM while the A.I. control your players. The last time I played a full season in Association was in 2k11 and 12. I didn't play a full season in 13 cause I have to admit it did get boring and I was uninterested.

It looks like they also worked on draft classes. Having once in a lifetime players sometimes come through in the draft is amazing. The fact that GMs recognize this and value their picks is equally amazing!

We're actually immersed in a REAL NBA world. FINALLY!
