NBA 2K14 News Post

Here's some gameplay video posted by Bug (@Weezyy_F_Baby) of the final moments of some first half gameplay between the Thunder and Bulls -- you also get a peak at the halftime show in NBA 2K14 next gen. At one point, you see Derrick Rose being interviewed as he walks off of the court.

What do you guys think?

If I was even thinking about purchasing the other game I sure won't be after watching this.

This is what a $60 game should look like. Simply Amazing

The whole player size/court ratio argument doesn't make sense to me. Looks perfect to me.

13, you bring up some good points. That "clunkiness" you speak of is just the momentum system they've incorporated since 2k11. The movement is the best it's ever been but I do agree it needs to be a bit easier to change direction and such. It's getting there though. The passing and other catch/gather animations I also agree are too slow from time to time.

Just another thing 2k can improve on from here on out.

They are going to show us players having conversations with each other/interviewers? I played that APF2k8 demo and it was dope to see them actually just say heads/tails/call out the full play names. I think 2k is going to take that to another level. Fingers crossed.

I, along with many i know, feel 2k gameplay has always been cluttered and unorganized... just too sloppy. Basketball is a real tough game to simulate and we all know that so maybe the expectations we had for next gen were just too high. The court is still cluttered the players are still thick and the physics, although improved, still dont seem to satisfy me and im sure some others. Im not bashing 2K but i do feel it has a lot to improve on in what may be simple areas (player responsiveness for example)

This is in store demo footage yeah?

So we can expect more vids to be released soon from different youtubers/OSers soon yeah?

I hate that camera angle but it does look great! Still kind of pissed about the lack of photographers and camera men on the court. One point in this video the ONE camera man on the court looks at the crowd while play is still going on lol guess he just moves randomly

Live this Live that....if it plays like basketball then its all good to me....people keep saying that the gameplay should be different....could someone please explain to me how a game of basketball is supposed to play differently?

ALSO, I am not a fan of that halftime interview, the words didnt match the mouth moving and its just very generic and not needed IMO. If its just generic voices too, I will just skip it all together in every game

2K is starting to drop bombs. Glad they held back this long. When is the funeral for the comp. lol

It seems as though I'm the only that wasn't impressed. It looks as though it's going to be a buggy unrealistic experience, I'm getting the game nonetheless.

They wont tell you because that have no freaking idea.

They've never seen anything better than this and there certainly won't be anything better this year. If Inside Drive was still out they'd talk crap about that too for some insidious reason to complain about nothing.

There hasn't been a basketball game as consistent as this ever, and with it continuing to sell 3-6 million copies over and again speaks more volumes than somebody rattling off some internet brouhaha that explains nothing at all.

Eh, it's always going to be a matter of opinion...

I would prefer this over he 'roach' movement where no momentum is taken into account..

It's all about what your willing to put up with as a gamer...some say they are fine with rocket dunks and poor animation transition for the sake of what feels like better movement, and that's fine...

Everyone wants what experience feels best for them...
