NBA 2K14 News Post

Ronnie2K just tweeted a new MyGM screenshot, with promises of more info on the mode coming this week. In the tweet, Ronnie called MyGM a "re-imagination of what a franchise mode should be."

The screenshot above appears to show a conversation with your owner about the upcoming year's expectations, with an option to respond to his requests via the new conversation engine. In the screenshot linked below, you can see a conversation with a player (Steve Nash) about the direction of the franchise.

What do you think of the screenshot and the potential of MyGM's Conversation Engine?

In-depth, huh?

Let's get to the meat and potatoes already

Felt like Chris Bosh going for a high five. Just a fail of "information". Yep this is what took Association and 30 team control

boring....

The conversational element would be far mor impressive if you actually heard an audible conversation as opposed to reading text off a screen. This is supposed to be Next Gen after all. My GM looks like 2K have just tried to make something look different to Association. I would of been happy if 2K had stuck with Association Mode albeit with sleeker presentation for the new consoles. My GM is getting boring already & that's just from looking at the Screenshots. I'll be sticking to Single Season Mode & hoping for a better Franchise experience next year I think.

How do you know it's been improved? We've heard nothing but a bunch of marketing quotes and a few screenshots about how innovative this mode is. We have no solid actual information yet.

My thoughts are this is the equivalent of billionaire (Knicks/MSG owner) James Dolan asking (General Manager/player) JR Smith about the financial matters and roster makeup of the team.

Fixed your post.

We don't know if it's been IMPROVED until they actually show us something more in depth. This hide and seek crap (from both games) is getting annoying. With that said I'm still excited for the game. I just want to go deeper!

My expectations for this game continue to decline daily.... The lack of depth in the small amount of info that we have received is worrisome.

I'm actually very excited with this mode. I'm anxious to see how deep it is.

As far as the lack of info goes, I dont really care. It doesn't matter whether they give more info now, or next week. They give us more info, then what? You guy are gonna be whining for even more info. Can't satisfy some people.

# 31 RangersCruz @ 11/04/13 04:13 PM
But this little of info? we're getting close to a week almost from the release and they give us just a look at the office and more of the " text " conversation

We need a full 12 min quarter at least of gameplay.

I see the potential in this!!!
it all depends on the trade logic and gm logic of the other teams. What Id like to know, is if decisions are made through-out the season or just at the beginning of the season.
the scenario presented in the screenshot could play out differently , depending on when the demand is made by the GM!!.
does the gm make this request for younger talent when your team is a borderline playoff team. will he want you to trade for younger talent while still holding a playoff spot. And what would be the financial ramifications of said move.

I see layers here.

I was a 100% on buying a Ps4 at launch just for 2k but my hypemeter is kinda low right now.

1) If you decide to not give us gameplay, give us real insights and not just a screen that tells us nothing.

2) Just give us gameplay.

As long as I don't know how the game plays I have a hard time looking forward to some modes tbh.

My god people, just think for for 2 seconds before breaking out the whine. Why would 2k flood the market with next gen footage/info, when they are still trying to sell the current gen version as well. It's a business decision to try and make as much money out of current gen before next gen launches. Just relax, the info will come, just not as early as previous years.

I was wondering about this too, I wish they showed the team and the year of the season that the screenshot is in so we could possibly figure out if the owners goals are based on the teams makeup or just random goals put into the game.

I do not want to sound arrogant, but ... I'm 40 years old, 2 children, and unfortunately i'm the managing director of a company with a turnover of several million euro ... in the evening when my kids are sleeping and I can play and enjoy playing nba2k14, I would love only play the game, trade some players and make some draft pick, obviously using bedwardsroy roster !
but now I seem to have to deal with repetitive play, elementary, and for a much lower target age. I am very very astonished

And sorry for my poor english

............yeah it's not like they have stopped showing any current gen commercials and are only showing next gen commercials. That would be as HHH would say "bad for business". It's not like they showed a trailer on opening night that only showed next gen footage that would be foolish.

I feel like i've seen this system before (just as text, no visual meetings and such), or maybe it was in nba live. Can someone help me remember which? (probably live 10, not sure)

You'd have three directions to choose from: 1) rebuild, 2) try to make the playoffs or 3) contend for a title. Each one would have several goals and you'd get points or smth when you'd accomplish them. I don't remember all the details or what you would get to meet those goals.

So basically what i'm trying to say is, isn't this just the same as that? (as in copyright infringement, if i'm right and it was in ea before). Just with some better graphics.
