in other news, im really loving the game right now. i can also interject that the CPU A.I. is much better. im getting my *** kicked on default HARD with the Undertaker lol.
i love how u you cant just reverse everything. the timing is much tougher to get down. the CPU can actually go on offense for a minute or 2 before i can reverse something.

Knock on wood, but my game has been absolutely bug free so far. Very enjoyable so far. Just finished up WrestleMania mode. It was so perfectly put together. Love the video game promos by Macho Man, HBK, and Razor. Now, just playing around with different guys. Best game WWE has put out by far in about 4 or 5 years.

Just installed the game DL seasons pass and did my first match...tested out AI bumped to legend first off. UT vs Brock HIAC..wow the AI is very much improved...a lot better then last few years...Brock tore me up big time...so saying that i think its a good thing...and pinning is fixed to IMO...plenty of 2 3/4 counts....Waiting for my son to get home from school so we can play WrestleMania Mode and the streak...overall happy camper....ill be on the Universe thread again this year good job....#wwe2k14 one side note I hope 2k servers are being fixed because right now it us down #wwe13

I'm sitting at work with my copy but I won't get home to try it for awhile.
Anyone try any CPU vs. CPU? Wondering if/how the improved AI versus humans carries over.

So far I'm enjoying the game but I'm hearing commentary lines from last year. Disappointing but not surprising.

Yeah I've come to terms with the fact that commentary blows in this game. I'm just happy the AI is challenging.
I wouldn't have expected too much of a difference in commentary from last year to this year. Next year, I believe it will be a huge disappoint if there is no commentary overhaul though.

So far it has been great, changed some attires, created me, did a 3-2 handicap match against the Shield and won by DQ, now stuck at body slamming Studd.
I just did CPU vs CPU in Universe on Xbox. Santino vs R-Truth. Truth beat him up and hit a Signature move. Got a solid 2 count. YES! Santino reversed an attack sending Truth out of the ring. Santino was all offense outside the ring. No silly OMG moments like last year. Truth did a move went for pin...2.99 count. YES! Truth hit his finisher and match over.
Default settings with Quick match setting. It was actually fun to watch. I am smiles for now.

Only got two games in so far and liked both. My first game was a 6 man tag the shield vs. tons of funk and santino. Match went almost 15 minutes, but lots of it was feeling out the game. The CPU got on a roll with the hot tag sequence. Had to tag out to gain momentum. I liked Roman Reigns, but will have to edit those moves. Maybe it's just i was pushing the same way or maybe he just has lots of similar moves? Idk.
The next was the streak challenge. Picked Lesnar as my guy... Didn't stand a chance and got beat in about four minutes haha. That will be fun to tinker with when bored.
Overall I see a lot of replay value in this game and even as things cross to next gen this will be a keeper for customization, the streak, and history that comes with the wrestlemania. Not saying its a 10, but well done th2k

Universe mode: Every time the ring announcer comes out he has no sound. Just a minute of him being silent in the middle of the ring.
Having a blast playing with legends and having them mixed in with the current roster.

I'm assuming it's the same as it always has been. After you win a match, is there still that awkward 3 or 4 seconds when you just stand up and everyone is standing still in the ring before it cuts to the cut scene celebration?
AI is the most challenging I've seen in a wwe game. I think the gameplay is the best I've seen in a wwe game and I've been around since wrestle mania on the nes.

I love that its harder to make your opponents bleed this year. Last year I would make my opponent bleed in every match (unintentional) and I had to turn off the blood because of that.

Holy crap is this game hard. I love it.
I've played probably fifteen matches and lost probably six or seven of them. I did, however, manage to Defeat the Streak on just my second try with Shawn Michaels. I basically just pummeled him with chair shots and stair strikes, survived no less than six finishers (four tombstones and two Hell's Gates; all but one were outside and I managed to use resiliency to kick out after the tombstone in the ring). Hit him with a super kick and pinned him much to my surprise.
I am really digging Wrestlemania mode so far too. I just completed the Hogan/Andre match. The presentation is fantastic. The game is such a challenge!
Also, odd quirk -- did they remove DX theme and movie from the game? Not a huge deal, but odd that they would since it was there last year.

I'm shocked how much the gameplay has improved.
- Legend difficulty is the real deal. I play on legend every year and I almost NEVER lose. I lost 8 of my 1st 10 matches today.
-CPU knows how to set up their finishers. example: Macho Man hit his signature move and went straight to the top rope to hit the elbow finisher. In the same match: Macho man hit his signature again but I was blocking the nearest turbuckle....so he climbed on to the apron and ran along it to the top rope to hit the elbow...I was shocked.
-The pin system is superb. Lots of 2 counts. The pin system is finally tied logically to damage. You have to really concentrate to kick out of finishers late in a match.
-The new character movement animations look and feel nice. All of the animations for damaged body parts is new also.
-30 years of WM is epic. They even recreated the promos for certain matches.
-Being able to set attires to random in Universe mode is a nice touch.
-Rivalries work well in Universe mode.
The new sound effects (not counting commentary) are nice. Weapon sounds, vocal taunts, and the way the mat sounds during slams is good.
-There are small glitches but this is the most polished WWE game by far.
I could report more but I'm going to get back to playing.
