In the trailer, it was a less compressed video and it ran 1080p at 60 fps. In this preview vid, the footage is compressed to hell at 720p and running at 30 fps. It's suppose to look robotic and not as smooth (less frames, less detail). When someone uploads a less compressed version, then, we will see smooth and less robotic animations. This game will be awesome.
How do you know its running at 720p and 30 fps??? where did you read that
LMAO! How are people saying it looks the same?
With the broadcast camera pulled out you guys still expected to see stitching in the jerseys? You guys still expected to see all of that with the camera pulled out? LOL that's crazy! Nba 2k is NBA 2k. And how don't you guys see the animations being way smoother than current gen?
The graphics look crazy, and the close ups look exactly like how the OMG trailer looks like, in which it's supposed to, being that the camera is at a different angle.
Some of you guys just don't know how video games work at all. Lol setting your self up for high expectations that certainly can't be reached with a launch title.
lol i like how people are saying 'its the compression of the video that makes it look not as good' but when the madden espn video dropped and they said it wasn't correctly encoded people gave them all kinds of ****.
im not saying it looks bad, but its funny hearing people give one game a pass and not another for the same reason. there is definitely a difference in the graphics. it looks way better. and im sure in person on a hdtv itll look even better. but they need to start showing whats changed from the gameplay to earn my $60.
I have no doubt this is a good game of hoop, but since this is on a more powerful system it should look and play like its on a more powerful system. If you own the current gen version then there is no reason to upgrade.
Now I do agree the score thingy looks better, but in the end this is the exact same game.

Again, all are welcome to their opinion. I just feel this is very underwhelming. I admit, I am not a "Hardcore" gamer and don't know the first thing about coding a game. All I know is the game looks like the exact same thing as 2k14 for 360. Is that a bad thing? Not at all, 2k has been making a wonderful bball game year in and year out for a long time now. I am sure this will be more of the same. I just don't see the OMG factor that others see. I could care less about jersey stitching and facial expressions, its the animations and overall movement that looks the same to me. Maybe I had unrealstic expectations of what they could do for launch, but this just looks underwhelming on the heels of that trailer and all the hype from yesterday's presser. Again, I am not forming an opinion on a short, 4 play video. Just hoping it is a bit more than we just saw.
I think 2k has really set them selfs up for another good run on the new consoles!...they are really starting to get the gameplay and feel looking smoother every year!
I will be disappointed if multi-tem association is removed tho!!
Should somebody break the bad news to him about multi-team association mode?
Peep this vid. Way better quality than gamespot, and screenshots from my gm mode, my career and more
That looked phenomenal. In action it looks similar to current gen, but IMO that's not a bad thing. I really didn't see any flaws, it looked ridiculous.
Right graphics look don't ANYTHING like current gen. Now because the camera is in a broadcast view which is real life camera view, it may look similar because in current gen while running it that view it already looked real. Now on next gen it looks WAY smoother, and everything looks crisp, from the floors To the rims, to the player movement. Now in close ups, everything that we say from the OMG trailer is there. Being that the camera is showing us the expressions, and the facial detail and so forth. The games looks like a next gen game.
I get some of you guys have your opinion, but some of you really need to get your eyes checked. Lol

Yeah people just expected it to look exactly like the trailer and the funny thing is it will look just like that but you can't play it at those views. The game looks like watching it on TV and current gen was not shabby either. The animations are smoother but there are certain animations that will exist for both current gen and next gen I knew that. Like I expect to see some of the same dunks in both games. I imagine more animations will exist on next gen especially the part about no jumpshot landing is the same. I actually think playing on 2K cam you probably would appreciate the details in the crowd more but the AI improvements will have to be played over time to fully see.
Damn, this forum is up and down. People were saying before the videos came out that they didn't know what to expect from gameplay cuz it'd be so different. Now it looks too similar. lol
I personally think all the little things look SO much better. Plus the other modes sound vastly improved, and this is only the first game on the new systems. I can't wait to ride the hype-o-meter come 2k15!
Some of these comments are mind blowing. If you can't see the huge upgrade in graphics..then your eyes need checking. It was a super short compressed video. Wait for better videos or a live stream
lol its not mind blowing if you been on a high PC for the last two years. Been there done that attitude with me...im looking for sick framerates with new gen, but so far I've seen nothing to jump ship over...also once this comes to pc, wow.....
How do you know its running at 720p and 30 fps??? where did you read that
VC/2k sports fan
It's a Gamespot video, all of their videos are 720p running at 30 fps. I don't have to read that anywhere, I downloaded the vid and put it in video editing program and it shows that it naively runs in 720p 30fps. But I knew this just by looking at it and whatever capture device they used wasn't that good from the start. Once you capture horrible quality, there is no way to make it look better.
You must don't frequently visit Gamespot? Their vids quality have been poor since the website update earlier this month.
It is Oct 24 as I write this….Nov 15 is 21 days away….this game truly looks amazing…OS should replace the GameSpot vid with Franchise Sports vid, just for pure content reasons. I cannot wait until I leave my GameStop with this. Seeing this almost makes me want to never turn my CG 2K on….truly blown away by the detail thy've poured into the game. Wow….PS4 BABY!!!!
Let's not kid ourselves about compression of the video. The way it moves will still be the same no matter what definition its in. I am disappointed because the player movements are still the same. Yeah it looks better, but we knew that. I wanted the player to transition from animation to animation better. I know ima get hated on, but I keep it real. Its not a big jump as you guys made it out to be and now its hard to say the truth. Its still 2k14.
