2K Sports has released the first next-gen gameplay trailer of NBA 2K14, weighing in at 1:33 of goodness -- set to "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins.

It's never early if the game is nearly done.

Anyway, I'm sure 2K is gonna be a good game, but I need very good. I don't have time for just good anymore. My life is great so I need very good-to-great around it (yeah, man!

) But seriously, I want very good. If Live isn't very good, I won't buy it either.

I just won't jump on definitely purchasing 2K without knowing what a 5 on 5 is gonna look like on both games. Inside Drive wasn't the prettiest of games but it was the best game for at least two years. Live doesn't have to look pretty to be very good.

But, I know 2K isn't done showing us what it's got. So show us. I'm waiting. I'm gonna soak in the info for both games and make a decision based on what I want. Never will I just assume one game is dead because the other came out with a fire trailer.

Looks amazing. I wasn't going to get a PS4 until next year I honestly don't know now.

Looks good is all you can say but I didn't expect no less from 2K after that first Lebron trailer.

Can I give props to the artist who rendered and modeled the players and stuff and fixed some of the color gripes and ridiculous jersey issues from the past game?

Yeah, that was just fantastic wasn't it.
If you show something and it's bad you don't get points for showing it.

I haven't read much about next gen, but is the basis of the game from scratch? For me, it appears that pretty much everything was ported over, but with a higher resolution, and then a few faces fixed. It just seems like the player models and jersey styles are still in line with the old. I was sorta expecting a total change....

With this NEXT GEN stuff, it is finally time to truly get colors and tones and hues right. No more excuses.

This is correct.

I never get why people get so mad at others wanting to see more. 2k brings this on themselves, we expect greatness from them because they're claiming it's greatness. They were basically protecting next gen footage & gameplay like it's a sacred cow.

So when people see the graphics and say cool where's the association mode/ my player mode/quarter of gameplay can you really be mad at them?

With all of that said the graphics are fantastic minus Kobe's face.

its like going on an accessory thread and saying where's gameplay. We get it they are all important. But it's a trailer thread I think any discussion about "association improvements? , myplayer, online servers" should be discussed in another thread.

Holy crap.....holy crap...holy crap !!!!

Now, that's a next gen trailer !!!

This video has done 3 things for me....

1) I no longer have any kind of cold feet in buying a PS4 in a month.

2) I no longer regret passing on current gen 2k, it was hard but now it's all worth it.

3) I only need one next gen game....

I'm not sure where I said you should give Live points.

Man, my post was about as unbiased as someone could get and yet you guys still can't see beyond your shades.
