NBA Live 14 News Post

EA Sports has released their NBA Live 14 gameplay trailer, which features a first look at their game in action. We figured it would be short, let us know what you think.

In the coming weeks expect to hear a lot more about NBA Live 14, some of the nuggets we are expecting to learn about are the 50+ signature styles in the game, Connected Experiences, and more game modes. It appears as if the Live 14 hype train has finally left the station and it's expected we'll see a lot more on this game in the next several weeks.

We've also captured some screenshots from the video. Obviously, they will look better in 1080p, these were captured in 720p.

Ill give it an 8 or so out of 10.

2 things i noticed:

1. Jersey did look like it sat on KI awkwardly

2. (EXTREMELY MINOR DETAIL) When KI went up for a layup... no armpit hair?

I liked it tho, not a day 1 purchase...but neither is 2k at this point.
I'll wait about 2 weeks or so before i make my decision on either one (or both).

I'm excited about what I've seen and read so far, I'm sorry if that offends anyone or is misunderstood as some kind of guarantee that the game will actually deliver. If you think I'm gullible or other people are gullible, what does it matter to you? If EA fails to deliver it will be disappointing but, don't worry, all of us hopeful people will be okay--thanks for your concern though.

Im excited to see what EA has on offer. I was a NBA Live man for many years. The presentation and commentary always stood out for me. As a "non serious" NBA gamer Live has always covered the bases for me and Live 10, IMO, was an excellent game.

2K have done a very good job to get to where they are today but they need competition from someone and hopefully EA releases a good product this year. I'll certainly be picking up Live over 2K this year to see what the game is all about. 2K13 on the PS3 will cover me until the 2k15 as 14 doesnt really seem that much of an upgrade (from what i've seen so far).

It matters because we want to see Live at it's best and reach the potential we've all seen for it. When there's a bunch of gullible yes men lapping up whatever they put on a plate sight unseen as we've seen for this entire console generation, they take it as license to do exactly what they've done this entire generation and bring us to the point we're at right now. It's not rocket science.

There's NOTHING wrong with positive thinking. But if ALL you're talking about are the positives, then they don't see the negatives as important enough! Why is that so hard to understand. It matters because if folks continue to over hype the game for more than what it is, it's a bigger fall for the game when the reality sets in. That does NOT help the series and as fans, I would think that people here would be all for not trying to over-hype it knowing that it's likely going to very much a game that's clearly rebuilding. I've always held this position and I'll continue to do so. The other thing I respond to is when people bring up 2K knowing full well, you're just inviting useless debates. STFU about 2K and focus on LIVE and what IT needs to be a better LIVE! I know THAT'S not hard to understand.

I think it's a damm shame that the faithful live hopefuls have to sit and speculate on this game that they have been waiting to hear about for two years....I'm a 2k fan but I hope that we will have two good basketball games at the end if the day!!

EA you gots to do better than this!!!

Is THIS? To answer your question, it's about the differing reactions to said trailer. Is that enough for you?

Back on topic, coming from one of the more supportive realistic Live fans on here, that video had me extremely skeptical.

Watching Kyrie come up the court with Felton hunched over made me cringe thinking about previous Lives and it having that same feel. Even him dribbling past Felton looked like old Live mechanics. Not a good first impression for me. I need to see this game in live action.

The Dribbles Kyrie pull off are sick though. I wonder how much control you have over them. Gonna be an interesting month.
