NBA Live 14 News Post

EA Sports has released their NBA Live 14 gameplay trailer, which features a first look at their game in action. We figured it would be short, let us know what you think.

In the coming weeks expect to hear a lot more about NBA Live 14, some of the nuggets we are expecting to learn about are the 50+ signature styles in the game, Connected Experiences, and more game modes. It appears as if the Live 14 hype train has finally left the station and it's expected we'll see a lot more on this game in the next several weeks.

We've also captured some screenshots from the video. Obviously, they will look better in 1080p, these were captured in 720p.

No points were made. He crapped on about how Live will end all cheese and blah blah blah. To avoid scrutiny he claimed it all to be his 'feelings'. What it really is is idiotic wishful thinking.

That's because it's a cut & paste job.

They did the same thing with the E3 trailer.

If the actual released game looks anything (graphically similar) like in the trailer, with the solid gameplay, game modes, online multiplayer and fluid/consistent updating as EA Sports and NBA LIVE dev team is marketing for the game, this game could be the sports game epic for the next-gen of video gaming.

It also would be fantastic if they could take presentation ideas from their past projects, such as making a main menu screen similar to that of NBA Live 13's ESPN style main menu and cutscene graphics (but definitely not the look or gameplay from that mess of a game).

At least 2K's trailer showed a play or two on both sides of the ball and the ball actually went through the hoop once.

Trailer looks decent, but troubling that they cut away as soon as animations started looking rough on Amare's contest. The only thing shown were dribbling animations with no real interference from another player-- which were well done as already seen from the E3 dribbling demo.

The foot planting on that looks good. 2K needs to take notes on that.

Good point and 2k's trailer was revealed in June. I'm sure they've made a lot more progress since then.

they have said many times to try the game for yourself then decide if u want it. By saying that to me that means they think their product will be worth ur money in the end. So 5 on 5 will say alot then a demo will be the ultimate decision.

I'm weird but my favorite part was the finger articulation they did with Kyrie. That is just some immersive stuff right there.

There's not gonna be a demo because the new systems release around the same time the game does, so how will they release a demo that only they (the developers) have access to?

...Unless they put a ps4/xbox one kiosk in game stores and then a release a demo version there...

I'm looking forward not backwards. That's all I'm saying.

Seems like most people are stuck in the past, "Oh Live did this, Live did that, remember the time Live stole my lunch money" Boohoo. Get over it, they made mistakes so what? I'm sure there's some decisions and mistakes you made that you would do over in an instant if you could...

I see a new generation of systems, with more power, more memory, and more room for creativity and innovation. I see a once beloved franchise who's had there behinds handed to them ready to start fresh. I see a game whose outcome doesn't have to be decided by who knows how to exploit the animations better than the other, but by the unpredictability of the sport.

I'm not going to be close minded and say, we've already saw what EA's done we know what we're going to get, I'll just keep an open mind and listen. I'll do my research, no video or screenshot is going to sell me, but I'll read, see, and try it for myself before I even dish out a penny.

Once again, Thomas Edison failed so many times before he got the light bulb right, I'm sure there were naysayers of his time too. "Wow, Thomas is such a bum, doesn't he see this light-bulb thing is just not for him, give it up, John Doe's got the best candles around give up", but I bet you're loving you some light right now.

You can be close minded...

Or you can be open minded...

I've already made my choice, and I've got nothing to lose.

Probably/Arguably the most smartest, well-thought and well-written post on this thread

PROCEDURAL AWARENESS! Thank you! I've been racking my brain for days trying to remember that buzzword of theirs that they used at the launch of the Gen7 consoles. Totally forgot about it considering it never really panned out. Sorry. It is a tangent. Carry on. :-)

No offense, but i would totally applaud this post if it wasn't so full of hypocrisy. I agree with what you're saying. I truly do. But, by every measure, you flip your mindset when it comes to the other game. Just saying. The bottom line is that even if you forget the history of empty promises, you have very little to no tangible evidence that ANY of their promises going forward can or will be kept.

The 2k trailer was cut to but u still could see ball awareness from Kobe , Metta World Peace and even Dwight in the background.

Just something I noticed no big deal.

But since this is not "actual gameplay footage", no one will really be able to know.
Yeah I noticed him still in that defensive crouch staring straight instead of looking At the ball handler It's only a trailer tho
