Curry & Harden both have inflated ratings anyway to get to their overall ratings. I suspect both of them have questionable defensive ratings to get the bumps to reach the highest number they could be given, based on what they did last season.

But either way, I'm looking forward to the new Stats system and how it will play out when the season gets going.
Haha I am sure it is proprietary but take it with a grain of salt. A guy like George is a top 5 defender, on ball defender, steals, can block and generally harass shooters. His shooting is average or below average. However he can defend the 1, 2, and 3 very well and is a top tier finisher at the rim. So just as Harden can take over offensive wise he can effect the defense. Harden is really good on offense attacking the rim off iso, pick and roll and is not a bad passer but is turnover prone but is not a great shooter from mid range.

Seriously, again? Every year the same old discussion about ratings? I thought people would know by now how it works.

Ratings don't mean anything in this game, it doesn't matter. You can average (even with decent sliders and at superstar difficulty or higher) 30 ppg - 10 apg - 2 spg with Daniel Gibson who is in his mid 60's.

Lol. Lets see his attempt numbers and how the defense guards him.

He takes the high % shots because hes smart just like guys such as nash and cp3 and thats why they shoot a high %
Allright fine. STAT should take care of his midrange rating then.

This is like the 20th nba 2k and people still care about the number rating?

I could never understand "Harden deserves 89 because he is better" stuff.

I'm a giant Curry homer but I'm okay with this. Primarily because Harden is much more athletic (which 2k overalls favor) and he draws fouls like nobody's business.

I hope they don't overrate Harden in other areas on top of that.

A few more.

Kobe Bryant (93)

Lmao, what a fkning joke. 2K continues to display utter ignorance/xenophobia towards European players. I can't wait to see how badly 2K butchers the ratings/tendencies of Euroleague players.

"Dimitris Diamantidis - 72 defense"

Harden is a killer in the open court, finishing with contact and getting to the line. No real weak spot in his game.
Curry FIRE at 3's and good at picking pockets. Can't take it to the hole though...

Advantage Harden

Lol. He's a lawnchair on defense, no midrange game, and turnover prone. He'll continue to get exposed each year in the playoffs (when defenses tighten up and refs aren't as frequent on the whistle) until he develops a post/midrange game. Right now his game is either chuck up 3s or bowl into the lane and pray for a call.

Looking forward to Rondo's inevitable drop.

Another year of guys arguing about OVR ratings when 2k's rating system is jacked in general

# 239 SteboSSK @ 09/17/13 12:37 AM
Lmaaaaaaaaooo he did a superb job of that huh. TP put up 22.5ppg against the Warriors.
