Got my sliders set up nice. Game is a blast.

Gotta say. Not very happy with it. It's still just lacks any kind of enthusiasm! It feels like you are playing at a high school game. Doesn't feel like you are playing in a stadium with 100,000 fans! So horrible! Plus everything on the presentation side feels rushed and uneventful. EA still can't figure out how to make a game feel like you are watching it on tv or even make it entertaining. No buy for me. Crossing my fingers on Madden but not expecting anything better.

I've been loyal to this franchise for a long time, and getting fed up with ea. If you like the game, then by all means purchase.

It's really a shame this game had potential, but it is what it is.
This is just my humble opinion.
exactly what I think. Just cant justify $60 for this with the new rosters available with older releases. to each is own. This is the first year I will be sitting out sadly. I have high hopes for the nex gen first version.

After getting several games in now, I am really liking the game so far. My thoughts remain the same as they did with the demo, but for obvious reasons, the game is even better.

What I really enjoy about the game:

- Playing the CPU is finally fun again. The ballcarriers can make moves and be dangerous again without breaking 4 tackles and feeling cheap. The CPU still has some questionable playcalling though at times.

- The line play is much better. Not just blocking assignments, but the D lineman can push linemen into the QB and force the QB to step up in the pocket or get rid of the ball in a hurry.

- Stat overlays. There are plenty now and some nice variety.

- Post play celebrations are still cool to me. I like the variety and players celebrating with their teammates after big plays.

My "issues" with the game:

- Custom stadium sounds now take away from the immersion since there is a 1-2 second audio drop every time your sound is supposed to play (see bugs and glitches thread). It really ruins the experience which once was the feature that added a lot to the game.

- Lack of penalties even with slider adjustments (specifically holding)

- Player equipment. Why on earth does every 5th player wear an Ion helmet? Sure it can be edited, but just remove some of these helmets and facemasks from the game. They are hideous.

- Punts always bounce forward no matter what you do to the trajectory and angle.

Overall, this will likely go down as the best NCAA and I know I'll get a lot of mileage and enjoyment with the game.

I simply cannot understand this. It's been 8 years since the other game that broke down the draft, broke down the end of the week with highlights. I really don't think EA can get this part of the game right.

Feels a lot like last year to be honest. The addition of the infinity engine is nice, but the gameplay doesn't really wow me. Still an absolute purchase for me, though.

Game has some of the worst defense I've ever seen in my life. Just horrific. Play on heisman staight across the board and you have some just straight up arcade fests with adjusted sliders. Game is a NO BUY for me. Qb accuracy on ten and Washinton st in 7 min quarters threw for 605 yds vs Auburn!! Lmao game is trash.

I'm with you. It's fun playing the CPU now. I lost to an FCS team using my TB team 10-7 and it was fun. I didn't feel cheated (10 min quarters, on Heisman).

The stadium sounds cutting out does suck. I'd remove my sounds but since I have a TB team, I need some music in there.

The presentation, while not robust, is good enough for me to be honest. Stat overlays and the mediocre halftime show are better than anything else we've had.

I just played 2 games and I really like this years game! Both games I played were fun. Things I did not like, before my second game it froze twice, and after you score a touchdown the ball just lies there does not go to PAT right away.

All in all I am really going to enjoy NCAA 14

have been playing Road to Glory and enjoying it for the most part.. went through the High School season and signed with Oklahoma State.. got to the last game of the season undefeated and ranked #1.. the last game is at home against Oklahoma.. they kick a field goal with a minute left to go up 31-24.. i get the ball back, 2 quick passes, then manage to connect on a bomb with 20 seconds left for a touchdown..

I'm pretty excited how that all went.. the game ends and im ready for overtime to boot up.. but the cut scene is Oklahoma celebrating.. they only had like 20 seconds, there's no way they drove and kicked a field goal.. well.. i look at the score.. 31-30.. CPU kicker missed the XP (to go along with 2 missed field goals)

Better luck next season i guess :/

Coaching carousel logic improved greatly if it hasnt been mentioned. Head coaches are pursued over assistants now. It now makes a lot more sense.

Anyone else experiencing major slowdown after halftime or third quarter? My game chugs after one of these times. Before that runs fine. This is a gamekiller for me. Fyi this is xbox season ticket. Had preordered but this is not acceptable. Anyone have physical disk? Wonder if it is different?

Ive still been giving 14 a chance and im starting to like the feel of the game more, recruiting still blows in my opinion but I can get past that. with the help of sliders I went from a no buy to back on the fence. Tough call for $60.

Just lost a classic to Syracuse as Rutgers. Lost on a last second field goal. My offense struggled the first half but I stayed in the game holding them to field goals and getting 2 turnovers. 2nd half both our offenses were clicking. Ended up being last team with the ball wins. I drove down the field to tie it up at 21 with a little over 2 minutes left. But our defense couldn't get the stop at Syracuse drove down for the game winning field goal. I think we lost the game end of the first half when Syracuse drove down completed a pass with 6 seconds left on the clock but we get a facemask penalty stopping the clock allowing them to get a field goal going into the half.

Recruiting is much better. A lot of late season fighting that never happened. Visits can be huge and change everything. The upgrade system works nicely and very rish reward early on. Much more streamed lined for when u dont want to change things weeo to week. The info box after each week gives a lot more info. The tab system on the player alows for much easier navigation without the lag. I hated how the fight was always over in the first few weeks. Now the fight gets on in the last few weeks. Loved it. Also the later u schedule ur visit compared to other schools the more bounus u get. Just had a 1500 point visit on top of the 800 I get. Was 1800 behind. Was up 30 after tue visit and signed the next week. Awesome. Although ther is no manufactured headlines in the game, the story line is much better.

Have to agree with you guys about the crowd. It is just down right awful, maybe the worst it has ever been in this era. I played at Miami with Florida and I was driving for a game wining drive at the 5 I threw a int that was returned for a 90+ TD and the crowd was lifeless as he ran down the sideline only to get a slight cheer after he scored.

But that being said on the game Miami had there whole stadium field so it wasn't very realistic to start with

Bring back 06 crowd meter man that thing was so cool.

the animation that automatically triggers on the read option where my DE does the feet shuffle like he is fooled is pathetic...

i am user controlling him crashing hard on the HB then i loose control of my player then he gets blocked everytime...

they are guaranteeing the success of the read option for some gain...

Some things are good and some are bad. I played a game at Georgia and they threw a screen at my 15 that I was completely fooled by (I had zoned the wrong way) and it was uncovered. The crowd started cheering as soon as he caught the ball and they went nuts when he scored (it was the go ahead score in the 4th). Then, when I threw an INT deep in UGA territory, barely a whisper. Some events don't trigger crowd sounds correctly, it seems.

Ya and sometime I have to play with the volume down because if the wife and kids are asleep lol. So that could play a factor.

Tackles also seem to be quite a times for some reason like no sound at all

I have been seeing a lot of complaints about gameplay with people that have purchased this series for many years

could it be perhaps that you play this every year and you are that good? I am on Heisman and I cannot run that well

First year in my QB was just amazing aside from my occasional INT, but second year in...i find that it was more of the QBs talents since he left and the new guy is not nearly as good. I like the struggle compared to Madden because of the changes you experience every year.

I know this is a game and am happier that they spent more time making the gameplay look realistic rather than the whole show as if it was on TV

I have seen quite a few close calls with the opponent almost giving me a shoestring tackle (Exciting) and when the defender attempts to jump the route and is just a fraction off

Makes the game quite exciting. Sadly the roster is not legit, but I am having too much fun to care

apologize for the paragraph :/
