NCAA Football 14 Demo is Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)

The NCAA Football 14 demo is available now for both 360 and PS3. If you are a 360 user with a Gold account, you can queue it up right here.

Below is the list of games available. You can play a full game with 3 minute quarters.

Alabama vs. Virginia Tech
Oregon vs. Texas A&M
Ohio State vs. Michigan

The Skills Trainer is included in the demo, as well as all of the camera views, including the coordinator cam. You can also adjust difficulty and all sliders in the demo.

I never download demos for games that I'm going to buy for sure, NEVER. I'm going to download this one, too many good gameplay stories from people whose opinion I know I can trust, to pass this up. I'm getting a College Hoops 2K8 vibe over here.

More detailed thoughts....

-I blew up an Ohio State Screen attempt. Did the CPU QB stand there like a statue and get sacked for a 15 yard loss? Nope..Braxton Miller took off for a 7 yard gain. Sexy.

-I haven't even touched Heisman yet and I've lost all 3 demo games I've played. CPU AI is so far ahead of any previous NCAA AI it's incredible, both in playcalling and actually on the field player control.

-You won't be holding CPU teams to 17 yards rushing for a game anymore. Teams like Alabama will pound you for 4-5+ yards if you try and stop them with a 7 man front. Bring a safety in the box and they start attacking you with the pass. Beautiful.

-Deep routes..at least from what I've seen..are not even remotely "money" anymore. CPU DBs are aggressive, zone coverage is much better, and safeties will pick you off like crazy if you test them.

-CPU Option game is a game changer IMO. The Read option teams that were destroyed year after year are now legit threats. Hell...more than that..they are nightmares. Oregon ran all over me and it was legit, solid CPU play ability..not cheese.

-I saw an offensive PI. I haven't seen an offensive PI call since...well...ever.

-Punts don't always roll out of bounds. Had several drop inside the 5.

-Personally I like the new intros...and this is coming from a guy who's library of custom made entrances is now null and void because of the new intros.

And the best of this..this is a DEMO. The full game is most likely even better.

EA has waited until the final year of "this gen"....but this has the makings of a masterpiece and the best football title...NCAA or Madden...ever. I see nothing in any aspect of the demo and the AI I've seen to suggest otherwise.

So excited for this game to release.

7-7 game with michigan and the crowd seems pretty into in the 4th. Enjoying this game so far.

Also the coordinator cam is pure magic. The way it follows the ball on a deep pass......man. It's safe to say I'll probably be putting my cash on this game this year.

just had a NASTY juke with Manziel on his way to a 53 yard TD run. I absolutely love the read option this year. The speed option is hard though.

Nice job EA sports. The controls are tighter, smoother animations and fun factor is there. I noticed in the sliders that CPU special teams has there own adjustments. Not sure if that was in last years game but I know Madden only had 1 adjustment for both. I noticed 1 official on the field and no chain crew. Is this final or will retail have full officials on the field?

Ohio State's QB just destroyed me with his legs. The way players move and cut, just something I haven't seen this whole generation.

diggin the Coord cam fo sho...Johny FB just ran 68 yrds to the house on my a**...& I LOVED it

I think the D coverage still needs tweaked a little, but overall I can' WAIT till this badboy drops

I actually had to think on defense for the forst time againsy the computer. The option was great and the computer ran it well. Had two successful bubble screens in one game. Pretty excited for the real thing!

Anyone know if you get ultimate team packs for every game you play or just if you play each of the three match ups?

Just played two games: Heisman

First game I was Alabama vs. VT, I loss 17-14 on a last second field goal. The first thing I noticed was the improved cpu offense, especially the run game and qb's can be deadly. I also notice more diving and sideline picks.

Second game I was Oregon vs. TAMU, I won 20-0, completely shut down Johnny Football. He was 7-14 with 2 picks. I was slightly disappointed b/c he was rather easy to shut down, mix in cover 2 zone combinations with qb spy and he was neutralized.

Notes:
-players seem more heavy when they move
-cpu run blocking seems really good (maybe too good) blockers taken 4-5 seconds to get off blocks
-there maybe too many picks
-Like the physics, seems a lot more toned down than madden 13

All of these QBs are highly rated except for UM I believe. So I dnt see accuracy being a issue right now. It's when the 65-70 ACC are destroying is when to be worried.
