NBA Live 14 News Post

If you remembered last year, NBA Live 13 was the game I was most excited about seeing at E3 2012. Well, we all know how well that worked out for basketball gamers, as the title was cancelled before it ever came to market.

This year things are looking up, and the reason for that is called bounceTek. BounceTek is the new physics-based dribbling system implemented into the game, which was showcased in some hand-on action with Kyrie Irving. This dribbling system seems to be borrowed from the old (defunct) NBA Elite which never made it to market either. Elite promised a new way of basketball starting with the dribbling system, one must think a lot of that old philosophy still stands with Live 14.

There are rumors that the PS4 will be released in late october to beat out XBOX1 to the shelves...

All they have to do is add 9 more players and make them run in circles in the paint and they'll be on par with today's virtual b-ball standards.

Hope this is good

I'm bored of 2Ks terrible graphics and animation fest gameplay

There are also rumors that the PS4 will release November 13th. It all means nothing at this point. We will get 5 on 5 at some point. The game is still a long ways off.

So, given the new nature of this, I dont expect early releases. Then again, depending on how long are we allow to play them, we would have a exact notion of what are we going to get. Wonderfull !
There will be demos. I believe that "rumor" came from the video of the PS4 UI that showed after you buy Killzone: Shadow Fall you can choose to download either the SP or MP mode first. Also notice in that same video it says "Try Free Demo" for that same game before any purchase is made.

I think so too.

If they have a solid product they should try to show off as much of the game as possible before 2Ks marketing starts up for real.

Those are the 60 Minute Trials that PS+ members get access too. That's different than a demo and those have never been listed as a demo.

The PS4 UI video showing "Try Free Demo" wasn't listed as a 60 Minute Trial and was just listed as a demo just like every demo is on the PSN right now

They could have a demo up on launch day of the next-gen consoles. Of course no one would get them ahead of time but they could still have one available for everyone to try when they buy their system later this year.

They can still show it to reporters etc and have people play if way before release though, that's what I'm saying. 2K's marketing will start now in July so they should start showing people the full game.

On the twitter Q&A they said something about having legends, but nothing specific.

I'm slightly optimistic about Live 14. I'm hoping the switch to next gen gives them a clean slate and they have some motivation to give us a true simulation basketball game. If all else fails, we know we'll have a fallback game, even though it's kind of ridiculous to call it a fallback option...

Classic players are in, that's been confirmed. To what extent though, no one knows yet.

Legends are very important to me. I also hope they let you create players and share rosters too like 2K does. that would be huge for me. Would like to make my 90's pacers.

How is 2k a quality game? You reach and put your hand straight through the ball and nothing happens. You can't block dunks, and when you slightly glaze your finger tip on a defender it's a foul... So I don't know what you mean but quality game... And don't you even say that live hypes their game up because 2k hyped their game every year! Anniversary edition, MJ, more stupid legends nobody cares about, jayz(nobody cares), and now lebron...

2k has classic "teams" they only said classic "players" for Live. At this point in time just having classic players isn't enough. We've been spoiled with classic teams and I couldn't go back to just classic players. This is my opinion of course....
