It didn't look like a jump at all. It looked like a port of the current game. That to me is the most disappointing because I have to assume it'll play pretty much the same...

Almost no penalties called
No tiered play calling
No choosing what you want to challenge
Same no huddle system with unlimited instant hot routing

The current system's game was a complete disaster to me. I was hoping for a reboot of the franchise, not an upgraded version of a mediocre game.

You know for sure all those things won't be in next-gen?

And we will just have to agree to disagree when it comes to looking like port. I saw many improvements over this gen.

I'd wager a PS4 on it. What do you say?

Ha. I'm not gonna play games with you. I just think its pretty short sighted to be so sure none of that will be in the game. There will be other versions besides 25. I think at some point those things will be addressed.

Loved what I seen. Loved it. Can't wait for some more details and real time game play.

Well we will agree to disagree and leave it at that. The gifs about 5 posts up look like an improved version of Madden 13. It looks like a port to me. Maybe a jump from Madden 10-13 in one game, but still the same at its core.

I'm watching closely.

Today was encouraging. I'm looking forward to some more gameplay this week.

I'm not really concerned that the game isn't worth purchasing. But given that it's launching on the new consoles in mid-to-late November, and a bunch of other games are coming out simultaneously, I'm skeptical that it's good enough that I'd actually end up playing it.

I'm clearly not going to play Madden after football season is over. NBA 2K14 and Watch Dogs are must-buys for me on launch day. Could those two games alone keep me busy enough for those two months that I wouldn't miss Madden a bit? Probably.

And that's not even accounting for other games like Battlefield 4, FIFA, or any other surprises.

Look forward to seeing more videos where we can break down the movement and the footwork. Sadly this video seems to hide more than it shows.

I need to start a petition to eliminate Adrian from being the cover athlete.

He still hurt his hand and not to mention with Adrian's position and style of play there's more of a chance of a injury to him than there was to Calvin.

Graphics look really really good, but i'm going to have to see legit gameplay. In the video it looks like the gameplay has only been tweaked with foot planting and O-line and D-line interactions which have should of been in the game years ago. I will hold off my final thoughts after the demo at 5. Right now i am only impressed with the graphics.

I liked what I saw from the gameplay video they showed. Hoping that M25 Next-Gen isn't just a gameplay beta and actually has Connected Franchise of some sort. Gameplay and graphics look good so far for me though.

I like the cover too.

One thing I know for sure is we all deserve a better game than we've gotten this past generation. We don't need anymore excuses, we need effort and results. I really hope I'm somewhat blown away with Madden this fall, and I should be totally blown away by next years next gen effort. If not honestly these guys just don't have it. We should not be seeing familiar animations, or stuff we wouldn't see in the NFL. I just hope these guys get it. I have hope now, but it still isn't much.

looks like same ol Madden to me. I'm truly disappointed. Hopefully as we get closer to the release date for next gen it'll look better

Ideally, they want us to buy both. Once in August and then again in November. I don't know how many people are like me but I play my sports games during the seasons they're in real life so a November release is just too late for me. I'll definitely check it out and I like what I've seen but next years next-gen Madden will be far more important to me than this years.

Kind of underwhelmed by it. There's more detail but the animations don't look like they've improved much.

It's like deja vu all over again. Still people saying that people will never be satisfied? Still people saying that no game is perfect? Really? Let's look at this logically. If no game is perfect, then this one isn't either, therefore it follows that there would, in fact, be aspects of the game that you can criticize lol.

I'm a huge Madden critic. I have to say, that I do see improvements. Some things look fantastic. Some of the animations look great. Guess what though? There are also things that do not look great. There are things that look very much the same. I see it. Maybe others don't, but I do.

I'm interested in learning more about next gen Madden. I'm interested in seeing how it improves. I'm leaning towards buying it. But I'm sorry, this thread, and a few others, are for discussing the footage shown at the EA conference. If the game isn't perfect, then there are things wrong with it. If there are things still wrong, why aren't people allowed to point them out? Is that not considered part of the discussion?

This everything has to be positive or negative mentality is, frankly, just plain stupid. This is all everyone's opinion. Just cause you're sold and someone else isn't, doesn't mean that the person who isn't sold has something wrong with their eyes. I'm more picky than probably anybody, so I instantly see things wrong, but if others don't, that's life.

It's a discussion based on opinions. If you can't handle someone having a different opinion, then you aren't interested in having a discussion.
