The Show Live allows you to play any games from the 2013 MLB schedule with the most up-to-date rosters, lineups, and statistics, fed directly from MLB.com. Whether the game is starting in an hour, or was played a month ago, the presentation and commentary in The Show Live is dynamic to the landscape of the MLB on the date the game was scheduled. Relive a player’s 40th Home Run, clinch the pennant for a team that choked it away, or play along with the game you’re watching or listening to. The Show Live is a mode for the truest of MLB fans.
Well, you do gain XP points towards your Universal Profile for playing any of the modes, TSL included. Right now there is no reward system in place, but the groundwork is there to expand upon it going forward. Also, all games (or I should say game situations) are weighted the same as it relates to universal profile XPs.
LOL you know, when I was typing that I said to myself "I bet Hustlin' is going to ask about online something"! I don't know the answer, maybe someone else can chime in. For the most part, we X'd through all the post-game stuff when we played online.
Edit: See Nem's post above.
thanks boys, this will be awesome with screen capture and for postgame reviews.
This is the mode I've been waiting for. Being able to go back on the calendar and play any game you want is HUGE, and is something I have asked 2K to add to its NBA/MLB Today option, simply because we don't always have the capability to play the game every single day.
Let's say you play a game, say April 1, Opening Day NYY vs BOS.
Is it going to keep a record of what YOU did in that game? Like will I be able to see a game recap 2 months later? And can you go back to that game, say in June and replay it over again?
Going to be honest, watched this video only for gameplay clips and was not disappointed! The clip of Tulo swinging was an absolute beauty it looked so real. And I also saw two new no doubt celebrations (hoping they are generic ones that can be used when creating a stance).
On to the mode, I didn't have much interest in this before but it looks pretty awesome. Sometimes I get a little tired of the monotony of franchise and want to play an exhibition game so I just pick random teams and go at it. This makes that way more interesting. Up to the date commentary and stats, being able to replay perfect games/no hitters or just any milestone games (would've loved to have this last year with Jete's 3000 hit) is going to be amazing. This mode is going to be just as important to me as franchise this year I think. And I'm going to be getting deep into RTTS for the first time with the addition of the create a stance feature.
I just want to thank the devs. I already pre-ordered this game for myself, I just pre-ordered it again for my little brother. I really love that they took what was already probably the best baseball game of all time, and blew it out of the water. This is a significant upgrade over 12 The Show IMO so hopefully no more "should I get this if I have 12 threads" . This game is going to absolutely dominate my year. You guys are awesome.

OK, technically thats 3 questions!
I don't believe it keeps that type stat info and you can go back and play it again.
Is it just me, or will all of these developer journals/blogs/videos make the next couple of weeks creep by at slower than a snail's pace? I swear. The time between now and Christmas will go a lot faster than the time between now and March 5.

The first thing I do every Thursday morning in Feb is roll over and check my phone, even before I get out of bed, and see if the new blog has been posted!

That is so awesome.
The mic looks like dookie but who cares?! Its still cool!
Did anyone else notice one of the screen's shows the new shortstop for the Oakland A's who is from Japan, does this mean that players expecting to get called up to the majors or be in the majors but who haven't played yet are already in the game and just need to be unlocked and put in when the MLBPA approves of them?
Also what happens if a player gets hurt and a minor leaguer gets called up to replace them and play in there spot, what happens in this mode?
From what I've heard, the rosters in the show live are separate from their normal roster updates, I'm assuming they just do a quick CAP since daily updates are absolutely vital to this mode... maybe since SCEA is officially affiliated with MLB they are able to bypass the restrictions they had in the past?
