This is pretty cool. I follow a few guys on Twitter now, but if this works well, this way might be a little easier than sifting through everyone else non-MLB.

Definitely not my cup of tea...can't stand these sites IRL never mind being introduced to them through a video game...

Not what I was hoping for but cool nonetheless.

I was hoping Twitter would be implemented into Franchise/Career mode a la Madden so I'm somewhat disappointed.

It's an interesting idea but comes off kinda as a gimmick. I follow all these guys on Twitter anyway (why would you not like Twitter? ) so this seems kinda redundant. I'd rather we'd have MLB Network radio updates etc.

Yeah but this way you can follow ALL of them, not just a handful and you dont have to sift through other Tweets not MLB related.
I think its a cool feature. Necessary? No, but cool still the same.

Kind of disappointed. I was hoping for something like they had on Madden. I follow everyone on the Yankees on Twitter anyway, so this is no help to me. I even follow Ivan Nova, and all of his tweets are in Spanish. lol

Yeah a bit disappointing, I really thought it would be implemented into franchise to add extra immersion.

Another thing for PS4 then.

cool idea, just hope the players stay classy...just imagine the horror if they post something that may influence or corrupt our children, think of the children.

Ozzie Guillen managing anywhere this year?

JP Arencibia will have a whole new host of accounts to block when even his own teams fans call him a crappy cardboard box of a catcher...

Interesting tho..

As far as Twitter goes, I think it would be cool if you could tweet your MLB The Show game results in some fashion to Twitter.

A couple members mentioned Madden. How do they implement it in Madden?

This is a pretty cool idea, and not at all what I expected.

I think an MLB athlete's use of twitter is governed by the MLB code of conduct. If an athlete were to post something insane and offensive, they'd be fined and/or suspended, so I think you can trust you won't be corrupted or something.

And I too expected this to be a "fake twitter" type thing like in NBA 2k. Kinda glad it isn't though, since after about 3 weeks I already read all the possible pre-made tweets, and now that feature is just permanently ignored. Actual and spontaneous posts are more interesting to read imo

This is...kind of pointless. I was hoping for RTTS/Franchise integration.

Have to say that this is disappointing... I agree with those who thought it would be something about our ongoing Franchises - like Madden or NBA 2K. Even MLB 2K's MLB Today homepage with game, player, trade, etc. updates would be a plus.

Gameplay, The Show excels. Graphics, definitely. The small things, absolutely. But with this aspect they continue to fall short. My imagination can only go so far these days .

Still think it will be a great game... So are the newspaper stories about our franchise and one key game now gone too????

LMAO I love how most of the people on here are disappointed............that's what you guys get for ASSUMING it was going to be intergrated like it was in Madden. Nonetheless, still a pretty cool feature in my book as I never expected it to be like Madden anyways.

What would be awesome is if you could have a live feed of every (real life) MLB game going on, like when you're playing RTTS and being able to see the score for the Yankees-Redsox game or the Rangers-A's game. Kind of like how it is in franchise, where you see the games being played by other teams.

That would be 10 times better than a Twitter feed IMO. Probably isn't even possible until the PS4, though.

So if a player posts a link to a picture, how are we supposed to see it if there isn't an active link?

My understanding is that we also have something confirmed to be replacing the newspaper, as an information source, in franchise mode.

Or maybe it just shows that they added something that no one really asked for and could of implemented it in a way that would of made people happier. Kind of like the mascot games in NCAA Football. If it is in RTTS or Franchise awesome, but I doubt many people are actually going to care about this feature. If people do like this, then good for the developers

I really want to see what this new info source is. I assumed it would be a generic webpage up until I saw this Twitter thing. I then guessed Twitter could have been the new source, but at the same time kept a skeptical mind until it was confirmed. Now my curiosity has risen again since it's not going to be Twitter.

It will be interesting to see what they use to replace the newspaper now. It sure seemed like the integration of twitter would replace it.
