It's crazy that some of you don't even think that MAYBE, just MAYBE they tried to do it 5 on 5, then found they could only make 3 vs. 3 stable. Remember the DLC offering?
Maybe they just couldn't get a solid 5 on 5 connection to work?
Don't you guys remember - 2k online sucks, yadda yadda yadda.... and now they decide to possibly DO SOMETHING about it... and tehy are still teh suck?
You guys are funny.
I understand that 10 users might have been an issue. My point is that they could have added 2 CPU players to each team. Most Crew games only had between 4 and 6 users anyways. Making it 3-on-3 completely makes it a casual street mode. No one asked for casual settings.
You have no clue how much I understand, and now you're skirting the question. Are the games different? Yes. Does the problem affect the game of 3 on 3 versus 5 on 5 differently? Yes. Is it still an issue for either? YES! Just because you prefer how it affects one game over another, doesn't mean it's not an issue and doesn't mean it's not basketball. You're not saying anything different. You said 3 on 3 doesn't work because of it. Well if me and two of my boys got to an open gym, we have no idea who we have to play. We just have to deal with it. That's as real if it were 5 on 5. Get it now? You are confused at what I disagreed with. Yes the games are different, but you said you are not playing "real defense" in 3 on 3. And I say not true at all. It's real, just a different brand. I didn't disagree they were different.
You just don't get it and it's obvious you never will. You are not changing how I feel and I am obviously not changing yours. Done discussing it.

And what about the people that will then get pissed with those CPU players NOT doing what they want? Let's say you have a team of a SG, SF and PF. The CPU stands there and doesn't do anything. That's a problem NOW with team up.
You're up in arms about it being a "casual street mode" and you haven't even played the game? If that's the case, there's always Team-Up... right?

Really? I DON'T?!?!?!?!?!
I would prefer to call it defending common sense. That's pretty tough to explain to some. You want to sit there and cry and you have no idea if any of this was even considered. You just assume the worst.

There's going to be times in the 3-on-3 mode when there are CPU players regardless. It's inevitable.
The game is obviously casual because it's 3-on-3. Can't run plays, can't play team defense, isolations will be over-effective due to the excess court space. If Association mode forced us to play 3-on-3 everyone would be mad. Even though it's a fantasy mode, we still want sim settings.
I don't disagree with you on most of that but the problem is you're missing my point.
We are one step ahead of where we were last year - you know it will most likely be like the Legends DLC. They know it works plus you can use MyPlayer. If there are no hacks/exploits then the basis is there to build a solid 5on5 mode.
So you can now decide to either take it for what it is and enjoy it or just... well, complaining wont do much good. I know you're venting and I respect your opinion but its not as cut and dry as some would make it.
I'm not knocking you, but you can give it a rest sometimes. Brown nosing is not going to get you a job or anything. No one is allowed to criticize the game or decisions made by the staff in your eyes.
I'm not crying or assuming the worst. This is my 2nd time posting in this thread, and I'm not a huge crew advocate. Most I've complained about is shoes/art, and rightfully so.
You can take your own advice.
If you want to discuss my posting habits feel free to PM me. I'm waiting. If I wanted a job I would have applied for one.
Aside from that, offer something on the topic because you have yet to do so.
3-on-3 court spacing really shouldn't be a problem if you play team defense like you should. A balanced team should beat an unbalanced team almost every time.
This game mode is a joke no defensive plays, most likely no full court game and i really hope there's fouls called no leaderboards etc.. this is a wasted game feature even with the addition of my player people want competitive basketball games not no street ball

did you see, the gamplay video between Ronnie2K & LD2K?
the game look good, plus I liked the faces, it feels like they improved a lot the gameplay and the animations, I hope they improved anmations for creat a player as well to My player.

I hope that you're right, but sometimes it's hard to be so optimistic. Last year I wasn't thrilled that crew wasn't in, but at the same time I was ok with it because I still enjoyed 2k11. Now that they've shut the servers down that option is gone. The Blacktop mode sounds like an NBA Jam type mini game of sorts, I'm not expecting much depth to the mode. Maybe I should just see the glass as half full like you.

You can hate the mode - but people haven't even given it a try.
I can tell you I was excited about crew as anyone was two years ago (especially considering I had the game early) but once I saw what it became, it was a waste. And that's not because of the online issues or servers... it's more so how easy it was to ruin the game.
Team-Up last year was a bit more solid but it also had nagging issues. I tried the 3 on 3 but couldn't get into it with the stylized graphics.
I'm hoping 3 on 3 this year is the basis for something good. If it is, then it's going to make the cries for crew to return even worse... but I think we should at least give it a shot first.
