NBA 2K13 Features 3 on 3 Blacktop Mode Online, Use MyPlayer to Team Up with Friends

While NBA 2K13 will not have Crew Mode, they will include 3 on 3 Blacktop Mode Online, where you can use your MyPlayer and invite your friends to play.

Of course, there is also NBA 2K13 TeamUp, for those that enjoyed the mode last year.

3on3 meh

will probably be half court. after each missed shot uhave to take ball around 3pt line to start your teams offense. i like full court 5v5.

You are right, but at least their were computers to guard the paint and etc. 3v3 will mostly be PG, SG, SF and will just be iso iso iso till they get to the paint for an easy dunk. Won't be any defense it seems like.

Not sure why they don't just give you an option of whether you want to run 3 on 3, 4 on 4, 5 on 5 etc. Seems silly to have a limitation like that.

I asked this in the other crew thread, can someone explain to me the difference between crew and teamup? Other than not being able to use your my player.

Nothing short of a virtual court and Jordan friend requesting the winning team on Facebook would have made "crew heads" happy.

Would have much preferred a crew mode but at least you can play with your friends unlike 2k11 where you just played random people. Me and my friend used to just try to time our searches at the same time and hope for the best.

am i the only 1 thinking this mode will only be half court with 6 total players. No CPU bots. 3vs3 half court. no free throws,no real gym, having to always take the ball around the 3pt line is going to suck. This will be 2k12s 3on3 challange (DLC) only with My Players. that wasnt fun BTW

That's probably because it wasn't functioning. It would take a year and a day just to find a match only to be kicked out of half of them.

No, there were others. Simply go back and search the forum. The gameplay in crew was a completely different animal than playing another person one on one, team vs. team.

I'm wondering if this will be a full or half court. Although it's probably more likely a half court seeing as how a full court 3 on 3 is pretty weird.

In team ranked team up players are chosen randomly.This results in early quits. Example The 2 teams are Lakers & Knicks and the guy gets stuck with Metta World Piece or is just pissed hes not Kobe, he quits out. i play GB team up mainly because of no CREW though.

more like everyone is going to be using oversized small forwards.

i wouldn't mind blacktop mode, but i hate the camera angles. you can't zoom the camera out like in normal game (at least you couldn't in 2k11 - i'm not sure if they even had blacktop in 2k12). I really wish they offered better camera options in blacktop mode.

yeah, i'm guessing there are performance issues with connecting 10 unique gamers in one game. i can imagine that's why they still haven't brought back crew. i'm sure it's quite an ordeal to handle a game with 10 different gamers controlling each player on the court, with 10 varying internet connections - trying to get stable online performance is probably pretty hard in that scenario.

It was possible in fifa without any problems.....but fifa is a different animal. Anyway 3v3 sounds fun to me

Yeah, exactly. I don't think they would just throw it on there without benefitting through VC.

More VC for our My Players or more VC to buy more boosters in myTEAM.
