Check out what NBA 2K13 has in store in MyCAREER mode, focusing on your player's life both on and off the court. Featuring producer Erick Boenisch and the MyCAREER of Ronnie2K.
Liked a lot of what I saw. Glad to hear they focused on the AI. LOVE that signature skills have 3 different levels and they don't all cost the same.
My biggest complaint/concern is that all the upgrades you can get for your MyPlayer seem to be too affordable. 500-1000 VC for most sig skills seems way too easy, given that Ronnie2K got over 400 VC in the game they showed. It seems that you can afford a sig skill after just a couple games, when I would rather it take you nearly the entire first year to afford 1 or 2 signature skils. I want to feel like I'm really earning my upgrades, but it seems like you may be able to grab whatever attribute, skill or accessory you want- to a point.
All told, I'm loving the options we have to differentiate our players, and I'll still be checking out the mode.
The mention of upgraded teammate ai and to see it in motion, even if just a few glances, was all I really needed. Being able to get drafted #1 overall is great, but I will play just good enough to get to the #2 spot in the draft.

That's probably why there are tiers on the skills. A Level 1 Brick Wall probably can't put people on the floor as often as a Level 3.

The Level 1 tiered Sig Skills were 1000 VC who knows how much of an increase the next level(s) will cost. He got 400 in a key game, hence the 2x multiplier. It'll be easy but not that easy.
my main concern with this mode is improving the off-ball control. because My Career requires you to play so much off-ball, being able to freely move around the court is crucial...but in 2k12 there was so much suction and bumping when trying to move around off-ball that i eventually just got tired of it and gave up on the mode. just simply moving around the court was a chore. Rob Jones mentioned in a previous interview that they worked on improving this area, so hopefully it's much better this year. also, the off-ball movement by your teammates was worse in 2k12, which was another big turnoff. i would be trying to set my teammates up, but they would just refuse to cut to the hoop or make proper off-ball movements.
Hey 2K, make sure you play through at least one season of this game mode before you release it with some dumb sh*t like the 76ers always getting 1st pick in the draft.
Christ I thought I was the only one that had that happen.
Looks amazing!!! Not really a big deal but I really hope you can choose what Jersey's you wear before the game this year. I also hope they give us a larger list of call names (first and last names) for our players.
The on the court coach and floor general skills are gonna come in handy when I create my point-forward. No more having to beg for the ball in close games and clutch situations, no more watching the PG run 20 seconds of the shot clock and then pass me the ball to take a contested desperation shot.
I still would like to have my player with a no voice option since I always create my guy as a 7+ defensive center from Yugoslavia and it just sounds weird hearing him talk all...uhm urban? lol
There is no such thing as Yugoslavia. Well, not anymore. There is Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and now Kosovo.. Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore.

Well any Eastern European country where My Player comes from needs no voice...unless 2k plans on expanding the voice variety it just sounds weird hearing him talk...
