The auto-generated undrafted rookie free agents no longer exist. Draft classes are now much larger, however, so if you want an undrafted rookie, you have to go manually sign him.
yes, but is the rating known or hidden ? If itīs the same (hidden) as last year there could still be undrafted FAs rated 75 at first that the cpu signs while releasing/not signing their solid players, only to then find that the undrafted FA actually is rated 41.
(for the User thatīs a nice feature, but the cpu would then just carries those 40 rated players on their roster until their contracts run out)
That was my main gripe with the game last year, the CPU carrying a ton of absolute no-hopers while tons of decent FAs were available.
EDIT : But i understand you correctly that the problem at the start of the franchise canīt exist anymore because there wonīt be random players generated to fill the rosters ?
Haven't read through everything but, say I have a power run team and want a change of pace quick back or 3rd down back. Will that player be downgraded because he's not the ideal fit for said offense? I wouldn't want every back to be a clone of the other. Same with receivers. I'd like a deep threat, a slot type that can run routes and catch in traffic.
as a Titans fan i have to agree with everything you said pretty much. I guess itll be up to us as coaches to tweak the team. They are right with are line being great expect for 2 spots .. but we did bring in Huntchingson which will help a lot. We have some corners on the come up (Mccourty Verner Campbell) i like the direction of the team

It's not very clear how that works. If you look at the team profiles, it shows what each team values at QB1, RB1, RB2, etc. Right now the RB2 is set to the same thing as RB1, but hopefully you can go in and change them so for RB2 you value a speed back or something.
I believe if your a coach you can change your preffered player-type settings. At least you could in Head Coach. I dont see how anyone could read this guide and not get a little excited. The gameplay will probably need to be tweaked and messed around with a bit, but at least i now have a reason to keep playing. Barring any crazy sim issues or glitches i think im going to love this game just cuz theres soo much todo I still play madden 08 for the original xbox and NFL Head Coach 09 because of their depth. Looks like this years game is finally going to grab my attention....
I contacted EA directly, and they don't even know if player editing, supersim and custom playbooks are in, out or just in Play Now (because the manuals are vague about it). I did see a new video showing supersim, though...at least that's confirmed in the game.

Who did you contact? How the **** do they not know that?

I did live chat with whatever Rep. and after a wait for them to research it, I was told they wouldn't know until after the game releases. It could be I was forwarded to some customer service person nowhere near the actual Tiburon building.
Question I have about the game... In CCM... I have to either choose to be a coach or an NFL player?
I know on offense I will be the QB but on defense I can't switch between which player I want to control?
What happened to "Franchise" mode that was in 12?
But if you choose to be a player, you only control that player ala superstar mode. Being a coach, like others said, is the franchise mode you are used to.
unless i missed something the 2013/4 draft picks are wrong. jumped out at me looking at SF, according to pdf no 1st rnd in 2013 or 14 ...
That jumped out at me yesterday so I did some digging and got some answers from EA guys on Twitter. It was a typo and the correct draft picks are in retail, they even sent me the Niners picks for 2013 that are in the game.
2013
1st
2nd
3rd
3rd
4th
5th
5th
6th
6th
7th
7th
Now while I got the 49ers picks verified, I can't confirm on other teams. But if there was a typo for the Niners, I'm sure the other teams that have their draft picks wrong in the guide are correct on retail as well.
