To clarify, I'm not being a smartass or a jerk, I really don't know.
If you are gold then you get every demo the day it releases. If you are silver you have to wait 1 week.

This is Microsoft's policy. This has nothing to do with any game developer or publisher.

Thanks for clarifying, I honestly didn't know that.

CPU vs. CPU flows together nicely. Haven't messed around with sliders, just watching gameplay and presentation. It would be nice to have a "broadcast" style camera, however. It does it that way for kickoffs but nothing else.

They should patch in a recover button ( Tap A(360)or X(ps3) )

if he's falling you can tap A or X and he will put his hand down and try to recover from a stumble instead of letting the CPU decide when the player is gnna put his hand down or to regain his balance from stumbling over players legs

So lack of penalties yet again. I was sure the addition of the infinity engine would yield more pass interference calls

I am giving my impressions not writing the Declaration of Independence. Short and sweet.

Elaborate on Fun? For me, I am enjoying the game.

So I just switched to very slow and I have to say the game and animations play out much better on that. Enjoying it a lot more now. I cant believe how much better the graphics are compared to NCAA on the PS3. They look beautiful, especially the field.

OK. If this has been posted then I apologize but I just saw something that is totally cool and new to Madden....at least in the last 8-9 versions.

I was playing as the Redskins late in the 2nd quarter. Ran a play with the HB out in the flats as an outlet. When my primary receiver was not open I dumped it to the HB. I immediately angled for the sideline (to stop the clock) as I ran about 11-12 yards. I stepped out of bounds as a LB for Seattle came up and hit me and pushed me further out of bounds...it was close.

Flag on the Play. Unneccesary roughness! Nice! Haven't seen this in a loooooonnnggg time in Madden.

The only drawback was the camera showed the ref from behind as he made the announcement and hand signals and I could not hear his voice. Perhaps not in the demo...

Anyway....I hope this is exciting news....but if someone posted and I missed it I do apologize....this thread is growing fast!

++ Pro's

- Like the new passing.
- Running is now fun again.
- Sounds are pretty good.
- I like the computes A.I. so far.
- The engine does add a ' what if ' type factor to the game.

-- Con's

- The graphics are not fully there.
- The big "hit" is gone.
- This new engine for hitting is messed up, sorry but it is.
- Camera is too zoomed up
- Fix the lighting
- Defense is boring, I feel I don't have a huge impact this year.

This is the first demo I've seen for NCAA or Madden where I thought the cons outweighed the pros which is a first in my life sadly. I hope the game improves before release.

No but as a courtesy it would be nice if you could consolidate some of your posts.

It's hard enough to keep up with this thread as it is...

You do it your way and I do it mine.

Pretty good I must say. Unfortunately, I'm just looking ahead to 14 when they tighten up the physics engine a bit, fix the player movement, and bring back my editing/NCAA draft classes. Those are the three biggest things I need to be fully immersed. However, I'm definitely going to purchase and enjoy. Not bad EA not bad at all, keep the improvements coming gents. Off of the demo, I'd give it a solid 7.5/10 maybe 8/10.

No.

I'm now telling you to consolidate your posts.

I hate doing this, but this thread is a pain in the *** and has proven so today.

I tried asking the nice way, but since that won't work for you. Keep your posts together and stop spamming the thread.

You have always been a great poster, I don't understand why you are all of a sudden trying to be difficult.

First off the game is vastly improved from last year and is moving in the right direction.

Positives:
1. The graphics look great, the stadium and the player models all are the best Ive seen.

2. Presentation is perfect for me anyway, I wasn't much for half time reports, but I would like to see more stat overlays.

3. Nance and Simms are refreshing and their commentary is the best so far. There are some dead spots but I dont mind it.

4. The sound is finally right the crowd feels alive and get loud at the right times.

5. Infinity engine makes many tackles look more realistic, when running with the player you can feel the players weight and momentum more then before. The DBs and WRs playing the ball is much better picks make sense and no more super LBs

6. Passing game is finally right! One can actually complete a deep pass.

Negatives.

1. Infinity engine though it improves the game it needs to be tuned (maybe it has in final build), but once theres contact seems like the players have no weight anymore and kinda just flop around. Also there are too many big hits like DEs breaking off blocks and just leveling my RB when they have no momentum behind them. Seems like the tackling animations happen at a faster speed then the gameplay which makes them look strange.

2. OL/DL play still is a problem (as most know) dont need to beat a dead horse here, but I did see double teams but they would miss the LB that may be able to be tuned via sliders.

3. CPU AI is lacking on offense, often the qb will just throw the ball up into double coverage instead of trying to run for a few yards, take the dump off, or take a sack. This leads to stupid interceptions.

Overall I think its worth a purchase and has lasting value, last year I didnt like the demo much but the retail version I felt was much improved from the demo.

With slider tweaks this game could have lasting appeal and be the closest thing to a sim football game in a while.
