As a 2k fan, the same people they are trying to cater too, why make an announcement about something that if you blink you miss...

this sucks and screw SPIKE TV I've been watching and haven't see anything, and the only feed I've scrolled through back and forth and still no footage...

Spacing looks better. Speed doesn't seem to be a factor on this video, I think it's perkins keeping up with Brook on the fastbreak.

New layup animations....

they didnt say anything new. they basically said all of the generic stuff like

*2k12 was good and we are looking to make 2k13 even better,
*they made an announcement of some "major announcements",
*the guy asked him what the fans have been asking for and the guy said " well the fans asked for more of the same stuff ( really? )
* said the all star DLC was very fun and is pick up and play

showed "2k13" which was nearly identical to 2k12 and 20 secs of the DLC dunk contest which is a mini game with guitar hero controls

Manu celebrates after making his layup LOL.

# 186 ksuttonjr76 @ 06/04/12 11:45 PM
Players don't wait until they get to a certain spot to inbound ball...

looks pretty good, very smooth, but i hope there is real time physic, but at this point, live 13 graphics look better

Wow, THAT'S THE DUNK CONTEST???????????????????????????? A GAME OF GUITAR HERO???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WTF!!! Terrible. Live 2005 had that greatness with that. I played that more than actual ball games, itself, that year. That crap 2K has is utter BS. Get rid of that non-sense and take iso-motion along with it. Come up with better player controls, 2K. Sheesh.

As for the game play footage, definitely mucho sliding but it's still early. I'd hope they'd tighten that up by release day.

Hey thanks for that, good sir. The quality was A-OK.

Was that Westbrook with the initial drive? Because I liked it. I liked the little one-two step and I liked the animation of his falling into the stanchion.

Also, the dunk contest controls are actually worse than you guys described them. I was expecting to see something like the old Grand Theft Auto dance commands.

I just can't imagine how this dunk contest control scheme could possibly give the user any feel of actually pulling off a great dunk.

Players are jumping straight up on blocks instead jumping out of the play....

# 191 tcnumba10 @ 06/04/12 11:48 PM
It looks like 2K12 with some new animations (Westbrook falling + sliding on the floor)... CPU still does those stupid pump fakes in the paint (Parker driving) instead of going to the basket in one smooth animation. And CPU is still relentless driving inside at the end of the shot clock instead of passing it around and looking for a pull up J...

They said 2K13, I believe them.

The real hardcore 2K'ers, like OS members, are more interested in new features and improvements. They didn't discuss any of that outside of ASW, so I'm not disappointed.

I will say this: I'm glad they don't seem to be making us wait this year. And it looks, to me, like it's time for new consoles.
I was with you until you said "its time for new console" I'm not completely disagreeing with you, but I think it would be a bad decision because the prices will most likely go up. I feel as if we are just now get the full power out of these consoles.

No TNT this year

# 195 ksuttonjr76 @ 06/04/12 11:49 PM
Movements are "tighter" on defense and offense...

Well, when Kobe played 2K12 last year on E3. What we saw was a slightly better 2K11. I wouldn't press the panic button at this stage.

Yeah, I agree, that whole Eurostep animation, the way Manu and the defense reacted/slid was troubling to me.

At the heights where 2K has gotten this series...Manu (or any player) should not be able to just waltz like that uncontested to the hoop and not be knocked off stride with a bump, foul, collision or anything.

That's unacceptable at this point. They're better than that.

Yeah, 2K is doing their thing again. Showing without showing.

Pretty good sign if it kinda looks like 2K12. The game isn't gona improve a lot graphics wise anyway. It's all about gameplay improvement this year.

Kinda sick that we see one penetration by the AI and it does a up & under.
