The only good aspect of the pass rush I saw was around the 3:00 mark the DE got around the edge after playing pattycake pretty quickly. But that was the only instance. Not good for the law of averages.

Keep in mind as well people aren't just talking sacks. We simply want front four PRESSURE from the DE's at least. Make the damn qbs step up. That does not happen as coded in the NCAA series.

We'll at 1:21 he didn't run up the middle...lol

Looked like it ran smoother then 12, the passing has me intrigued and yea def looked as if playing on varsity...still would like to see new player models and have them show off some new
Uniforms and equip they allegedly updated...

Exactly.
My concern isnt sacks. I can blitz LBs and CBs to get sacks or at least free up a DE for a sack.
I just want to be able to disrupt a QB. I want to run a 4-3 defense and have a DLine like NYG and be able to solely focus on Dline for sacks. I dont want to see the CPU QB or even my QB sit in the pocket for 6 secs and be able to make reads.

It doesnt matter how good your DBs are if you cant get pressure on QB, you will get burned evetually.

I hated it. I had to keep messing around with the pass rush and pass block sliders, and when I finally made it to where the DT wasn't getting 3-4 sacks a game, then it was nearly impossible for the DE's to get to the QB.

I honestly started putting my DE's at DT just so their stats could look realistic. I had Brandon Jenkins and Bjerne Werner playing DT on formation sub passing downs so I could rush the passer with them lol.
Last year, I got the 2nd rated DE in recruiting as a lower school(local DE). I was excited. I was expecting him to put him big numbers. My scrub DT put way more numbers than him. I think the highest number of sacks he had in a season was 5.

This was pretty disappointing, honestly. ESPN Bottom Line and updates looked nice, but other than that the improvements from '12 to '13 are hardly noticeable.

There weren't nearly enough good pass plays to judge one way or another.

I originally planned on getting both Madden and NCAA 13 this year, but after seeing that there's no way.

NCAA is looking more like Madden's little sister than little brother this year if you ask me.

That was NCAA 12 with a new ticker and studio updates. Predator dreads, stale, boring, commentary. Where is the crowd noise and atmosphere we heard in the Sights and Sounds webcast????

I'd like to see a 15 yard dig route over the middle completed. That pass has been basically impossible if a LB was in the middle of the field.

Some graphical improvements in the stadium, but another very underwhelming video. It looks like NCAA Football Version 12.2. I think 12.5 would have fixed the crowd audio. EA might have spent too much time patching up last year's game to make big improvements to this year's game. That or they're just sandbagging with these videos. That would be a first.

They were probably too busy filming the show celebrating NCAA 13 for ESPN.

lol I always laugh at this for some reason.

But anyway, I also wish I could hear a tangible difference between sounds from 2012 and sounds from 2013. That's two years in a row they have made a big deal about improving the crowd noise/reaction, and then....no noticeable improvement at all. If anything it seems like NCAA 11 had better crowds than 12.

Really, though, I know I'm going to get the game, but I also know I'm going to spend HOURS complaining about the same few things they haven't fixed yet.

it looks ok and i liked the studio update in there but i have to say there was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much dead air for my taste and after the update Nessler did not react the way i was expecting him to. sure it was early in both the Florida game and the game that we saw but still and when Barkley threw that TD i was expecting a bit of a convo between Nessler and Herbie ugh.... i still want to play it for myself before i make my judgement.

After the Dynasty webcast I planned on the same. But this video left me underwhelmed. For me the demo will make or break if I get both or just put the money towards Madden.

Studio updates are a cool feature, way too much dead air as others have said.

# 57 ABR173rd @ 05/17/12 07:48 PM
Well.... Underwhelming at this point I think is an understatement. I would also fire my marketing department for releasing that video. I felt like this game had some momentum coming out of their last two playbooks but after watching this trailer I think this may be the first year I don't by NCAA.

# 58 WLU Golden Hawk @ 05/17/12 07:48 PM
The ticker is cool and same with the studio update but man it is NCAA 12. I wonder if the guys on NCAA team are saying "Meh ill just play Madden this year"

# 59 walshcav @ 05/17/12 07:48 PM
I was VERY underwhelmed by this video. I hardly saw ANYTHING that they were talking about on the podcasts/playbooks as far as gameply was concerned.

I found this video to be extremely troublesome. I'll still buy it, because I buy both football games every year, but it might collect a little dust before it gets heavy play.

I thought they were going to make the crowd sound better? On that touchdown there was a little bit of cheering, but that was it! No noise explosion at all, that was disappointing for me because they said it was supposed to be better. Bring back some emotion please. A touchdown gets the crowd, commentators and players excited. What happened in the video? Hardly any crowd noise, the player just threw the ball aside and walked back to the bench and the commentators didn't even talk about the TD.
