Sounds like they're finally working on passing.

I like how they timelined the details....Im just waiting for it, I've already traded in 2012, so I reckon I'll midnight release the game, just because its an every year thing. I just hope they get it closer to perfect as they did with last year. (No I'm not saying it was great, or even the best NCAA, but it was better than the few years before and I think this years has potential to be another great title, even if it takes a few slider tweaks.)

"Read and React defensive AI"

That's a start. Couple this with much, MUCH more realistic player movement and they might be on the right track. We shall see.

A new passing system is NOT something to yawn at, rookie! It's precisely what we've spent the last two years griping about, and now we're about to get it!

I am intrigued!

Actually glad that they have it timelined. It lets us know when things comes out.
Things I like:
"pre-game traditions along with significantly enhanced audio and new trophy presentations"
"With a new passing system that changes the way quarterbacks and receivers play and respond, combined with a new read and react defensive AI system"
"Game days come to life with mid-game updates featuring a new studio analyst, plus enhanced commentary from NCAA Football veterans Kirk Herbstreit and Brad Nessler. Recruiting now goes deeper than ever with the addition of dynamic grades and the ability to scout players. ."

I hope they worked on player interaction, and the CPU " knowing your play.
I wonder when they will release the 1st picture

I agree.
I can say this now, I will most likely not even look at the menu unless I accidently click on it.
I hope they didnt put it as main priority.
But, I know for sure that is will be a back of box feature

I'll believe it when others see it.

Yawning cause it doesn't tell me spit. They hype all the time and fall short of the hype. Hopefully I am wrong. They will firat show a flashy video with some big team intro and cut to a big hit or crowd/band scene.

I cant wait for the gameplay blog. Gameplay was the reason I stopped playing NCAA 12 months ago. Player interaction, Defense, CPU Playcall Logic(knowing your call and offensive variety), lack of dynamic ball carriers, and Passing.
Passing is something that might be improved to a good state, but have to wait and see. Read and React seems like it might deal with Super LB/DB issues and coverage.

Meh...a lot of this seems done before. New passing system probably = one or two minor tweaks. enhanced atmosphere? Been talking about that for the last couple of years. Only thing I'm curious about is studio analyst. I keep saying I won't buy this game on day one but who am I kidding/

Instead of them saying something else you guys just can not apperciate the hard work they put into this game. I would like you to try to make a game.
I thought NCAA is very close to making the best NCAA game yet, 2012 was really good.

That is their job. No matter how hard it may be. It is their job. The Show, NBA 2K, and last gen NCAA games were great so it can be done. I won't try and do their job, as they probably can't do mine. We've waited years for great game and continue to be disappointed with hype and no substance.

I'm cautiously optimistic. After last year's debacle I can't trust EA ever again, period.

Agreed. Though they didn't say anything in there, we can only HOPE that all the issues w/ NCAA 12 have been addressed. Like if I want to create a custom playbook and only have 40 plays in it, then by God I should be able to do that w/ out having to have certain formations stuck in there automatically.

With a year to work on all the complete F/Ups from last year, we all have to believe they fixed those before moving forward. Otherwise... well... what good will more stuff be if many of the same problems exist that ruined the game last year???

At this point fingers are crossed... but we've all been down the EA Hype Road before. Time will tell...

I'll be more interested if the features work properly. I want to see what they have to say about the passing game.

# 18 gator3guy @ 03/12/12 09:29 PM
Like others have said, cautiously optimistic.

The teasers are nice and encouraging, but only if they are done right.

I like the timeline. Fans were always left wondering when will such and such be released. Well now we know. A small thing, but maybe a sign the team is trying to get organized.

# 19 bad_philanthropy @ 03/12/12 09:30 PM
My biggest concern is that the new features will be poorly implemented or break older previously functioning ones. This has been Tiburon's track record with the game of late.

# 20 mm boost @ 03/12/12 09:36 PM
I hope the mid-game updates show Reese in the studio telling us that Matt Barkley threw for 6 touchdowns against Cal in a game earlier today or possible a game winning field goal was blocked and an undefeated top tier team lost to an underdog, unranked team. Oh wow I am getting pumped. Trophy presentations will add a lot of new excitement and I am glad to see they are improving audio and commentary.

The gameplay I will hold off on until they release the blog because I know everyone will complain and moan about that until then. Give me the goods that keeps me coming back to play the game and make it feel like that gameday atmosphere with superb presenation, and they will have my $60. I am still playing NCAA 12, so I am happy with the gameplay.
