I cant believe players are actually giving this game cred smh... its a garbage game period. The stand up aspect of it looks like the mods are walking around with sticks up thier butts smh. They cant even move their torso's smh lol. How are they gonna advertise bones jones in the game and he looks like a zombie walking around the ring. Its sad because I know allot of players want a quality mma game but UFC 3 does not cut it, player are so desperate that their analyzing shyt over shyt smh. The only good thing about UFC 3 is the roster. EA MMA was way better game play. Dana needs to just reconcile with EA sports, and I promise we would have the ultimate mma game. Could you image EA sports with the UFC 3 Roster?? the game would be insane..

The game is solid imho but it seems that people just can't have fun with a game without overthinking it.

Is it a perfect sim.....no. is it fun? For me so far from playing the demo....yes. enough said.

Differing opinions/expectations.

I completely understand the NASCAR point....maybe a bit overexaggerated.....in my opinion they should just put a bunch of sliders and let the USER decide how they want the game to play....didn't hurt games like MLB the show and 2k. This would eliminate the complaints.

Not for me... I'd take ufc 2009 any day over EA MMA.. I bought it and got rid of it because I thought it sucked. The standup was so stupid to me with unresponsive sticky controls and awkward connections esp the kicking.

Given every other combat game made so far, your comments are a little weird. I think the animations look cool with the exception of running backwards (which looks hilarious).

Moving on though, ... I think advanced diff is the only way to play, the AI plays better (less terminatorish, but still too agro) the challenge is there, and it forces the fights to have more variation. Experienced you get a much more one-dimentional experience. Ultimate or whatever feels cheap.

I have both last years UFC Undisputed title and EA MMA, and I have to say that I enjoyed EA's title a lot. The only problem is that now the only roster worth a damn is the UFC roster and it makes a world of difference. I thought EA MMA was really good in some respects, like ground game and submission, but Undisputed's stand-up game was far superior. I also think, though, that EA just had a more sim feel whereas Undisputed felt like it was built to be an arcade-ish game. I really like them both, but if Undisputed 3 added a sim stamina system and new submissions, then this is going to be a must-have. I still haven't played the demo because my dorm hall won't allow for Xbox Live, but I am stoked after reading the comments about it!

I think I'm prepared for this game. Thanks to this impressive demo Advanced difficulty is the way to go at Pro Grappling settings, Sim stamina, and Ultimate A$$ whippin.

I'm enjoying the demo but the AI needs tweaked. As others have pointed out it is way to aggressive and seems to be designed with only the standing game in mind. I've been playing on advance and if playing as Jones, Silva will literally walk up to my face. I have noticed that standing and banging with him is not the best ideas because he is almost supernatural with sways and counters, however because he is always so close I can always clinch and immediately have double underhooks. Then I just block one transition attempt and just take him down to side control. From there the CPU has zero strategy but spam transitions. Its quite easy to maintain position for while delivering GnP from varies open positions. He will eventually get up and I rinse and repeat. I win almost every match in dominating fashion. That is not good I can already control the match to that degree especially against Silva. The same strategy can be used against Bones too.

AI needs to be toned down a bit on aggression. Silva likes fighting from the outside so the fact he basically walks right up to someone as dangerous as Jones doesn't make any sense. The AI needs to respect distances and opponents ability a bit better.

I really think that players are focused on the roster of UFC rather than the gameplay. So therefore its blinding them from the quality of the game. EA MMA was a way better game IMO. The presentation was better, the stand up, submission set, the live broadcast was innovative, and something about having the option of total control for your sticks is something that UFC 3 cant compete with. It's unfortunate that EAMMA will most likely only have one go around, because of the monopoly from Dana white. EA mma had a really good base to work from, it sucks that they didn't have the roster, and I believe players are more hyped about the roster rather than game play.

I agree. This demo has made me go back and play MMA. Now that I understand the choke system, I love it. They had their screwy stuff, but the game has a great foundation.

If UFC could tweak the ground game and aggressive AI, they have a gem.

Yep, I've done the same thing. Get clinch, throw to side control or a trip. Right now I don't think I'll be ordering. I'm tempted and I want too, but I know I don't have time to waste on a game where I will get bored on because of the AI.

Can anyone give me any pointers on how to execute soccer kicks?

I haven't been able to do any since playing the demo.

Also, how do you dash in this game? I haven't been able to figure that out yet. Thanks.

If by "dash" you mean a stepping move, you flick the left stick in any direction, if you are looking for more of a "running" movement click in on the left stick and move it towards your opponent.

Thanks man. I was speaking about "running" in order to perform a flying knee or a superman punch.

I have a couple more questions if you or someone else is kind enough to answer.

- Is there anywhere online I can find some of these moves? I didn't see the following in the timeout-->action list.

- How to cage walk when up against the cage?

- How to catch a kick?

- Ground Sway?

Thanks in advance.

1. Not sure where to find the moves if not in the Action List.

2. I am not positive on how to cage walk, I haven't played much in the UFC version, so maybe someone else can help you out on that.

3. To catch a kick, flick the right stick down for a body/leg kick and up for a head kick. It is all in the timing, you can also catch punches this way too and go directly into a clinch.

4. Ground sway is up and down on the left stick.
