I'm addicted to MP mode, it's way better post patch, getting some pretty realistic games..playing along side with Kemba is so fun, our team is horrible though. I didn't want to get drafted by the damn Bobcats
Here are my Reverse Placebo impressions-- I played a few games not knowing the 3MB patch was actually the final patch while I waited for the real patch to be released, so I placed blame on everything I didn't like or didn't go my way as being part of pre-patched CPU cheese.
Golden State (me) vs. Magic
I was getting blown out regularly because I wasn't playing very seriously. The one time I hunkered down and played good D I almost won. That is until I got confused one critical possession when the CPU subbed Curry to SG and I was trying to switch to PG through icon passing. Jameer made a midrange with the space I gave him, then Turkoglu became a monster with a rebound dunk and a spin layup. The latter felt like pure end of game cheese, and I was thinking that would be gone with the patch-- except it was the patch.
Still, the fact that I stayed in the game felt like the momentum CPU catch up logic was dialed back a bit. There was a long stretch where neither team could score.
For some reason I had a terrible time shooting with Ellis, and it felt like my shot was affected significantly if any CPU defender was in the area while the CPU would still occasionally make shots in my face at the buzzer. I was able to finish some alley oops on fast breaks that I didn't think would go, but I didn't notice any real improvement with passing speed. Even the lob seemed extraordinarily slow. The up and unders seemed somewhat reduced though, and I even saw a few good plays and a kick out. The CPU was killing me on rebounds, but then again, it was Dwight Howard. I did get a few more offense rebounds that I usually do, so maybe that is improved. Didn't feel like I could drive much at all with Ellis, one of the fastest guys in the league-- I might just be out of practice or not good enough, but it didn't exactly *feel* significantly improved. A good test would be to play against the Spurs who killed me pre-patch after extended testing and see how I fare.
What's wrong with the first video? The defender anticipated the pass and took it from you. A good defensive play that really shows how organic the CPU can be. If this happened every possession then it would be a problem. You could always jab, or fake shot, or ball fake before passing btw. I love how your complaining about a legitimate thing that happens all the time in real life and shows some good ball physics.
I only played myplayer so far. I did not create a new one but continue the season with my rookie center. I had framerate issues in every games. CPU players still abused the pumpfakes in the paint.
I'll try normal games tomorrow.

chalmers starts to raise his arms the exact moment I press the pass button. I don't think you can react that fast. at least not humans. also, how does jab fake shot ball fake before passing guarantee a successful pass? I know I can do those moves but what if chalmers has the same "reflex" after the move?
I want to pass to Hibbert - what can I do in this situation? press the pass button - and this happens. so does this mean that I have to Jab / Pass fake etc before the pass? is this is a rule? how am i going to know when to do what to make this pass ? you say this happens "all the time" in real life - does this mean that it happens more than the opposite of this case which is completion of this what's supposed to be an easy pass ?
the point was to show that post passing is not completely fixed. actually it's probably not the passing it is the defensive awareness.
good ball physics? I am talking about human anatomy.
To people complaining about fast breaks, I've not had any issues. Mind you I just got the game yesterday playing pro right now. Played 3 games? Usually LBJ gets down quicker than anyone and with Barea I almost never get caught. I'll agree with the shot clock running out bit and the getting in the paint. Also in the 4th teams seem to go off.

He's probably referring to the fact the ball was already past the defenders hands and morphed it's way back into his hands. I've seen a lot of that.
Looks like I might be done with this game. Unless they plan on another patch, I'm not playing this game the way it is. I know it seems tedious BUT two issues stand out that wasn't address:
- I'm a coach mode only player and I cannot call individual plays for players. Limiting my play calling options in coach mode kinda defeats the purpose of coach mode.
- CPU non-double teaming players when they get hot OR if there is a mismatch in the post. 2K11 did this perfectly, Why did they remove it now?
Human anatomy? REALLY, HUMAN ANATOMY? I'm almost done with this thread, because guys here are pulling ridiculous explanations out their a***s here.
We talkin' about HUMAN ANATOMY. I thought this was a video game.
lol - sorry, human capability I guess. my point was I cannot react that fast (unless I steal button mash) and I play against an opponent that can.
you are right about the distance thing - I agree. But is it not possible to pass from this distance?
all the videos I posted are to make the point that what the CPU is on the "run" they do everything perfectly/superhumanly and you always have to keep guessing what's not going to work - either it's what seems to be an easy pass (which doesn't work because of lack of animation and the boosted defensive awareness) or a defensive rebound or commiting a foul or block etc.
Did you go back a page or two and see the videos posted of what 'we' are complaining about.
The evidence is there, the CPU spams the paint with spins, up and unders, etc, etc. They waste the shot clock doing nothing than absurdly go to the paint at will and score and if you play good defense they will get the rebound or something. It's comical.
Sadly this is true...I can beat the CPU on HOF but what i have to do to do it is kinda lame....
I really like 2k12 but i'd have to say overrall 2k11 was better
I'm appreciative of the patch, but can't help but be disappointed. While the passing was improved, the most egregious flaws still remain - unstoppable CPU flick-flicks and no double-teaming.
There are plenty of other issues, but I can selectively overlook them. Those two things I can't.
