Like the NFL 2K series and the MVP Baseball series from EA Sports, the College Hoops series is a defunct series that sports gamers have been missing since the legendary College Hoops 2K8. With all of the improvements to NBA 2K since CH 2K8’s release in 2007, fans can only envision what the team at 2K could do with the series now. What if 2K was releasing College Hoops 2K12? Here’s what the OS review might look like.

I did the same thing... I was literally scrolling down the home page and saw the words "College Hoops 2k12" and did a double take in excitement

Now I'm sad

I know, right? My Player in 2k12 is already ****, starting your career from college... That's out of this world.

Also, with the NBA lockout, there couldn't have been a better year for a College Basketball game.

What could have been...

At this point I would pay $120 for College Hoops 2k12.

The title didn't bother me. What DID bother me was seeing IU on the front page... Lame... xD

This more proof that they got the license only to prevent 2k from retiring their tired, same-ol same-ol release.

The one thing good about the current financial state, just like California, developers like 2k that have been locked up with exclusive licensing, are soon to be released.

The day is approaching and I can't wait for another developer to bring us some College B-Ball.

I wish 2k12's create-a-team was more fleshed out, to the point that we could create college team logos to get a glimps of how it would look.

I say patch the create-a-team to be more customizable (as far as logo/court/uniforms)
Your so right Khaliib. That really has to suck big time for EA. . . knowing they have the rights/licensing but can't do ANYTHING with them because they can't seem to put a basketball game together that would be remotely close to 2K's version on any front.

I myself was so tired of hearing EA's same-ol' 2-3 year cycle or whatever it was BS story they were feeding people just like they continue to feed their football fans lmao! ! !

Pretty interesting but disappointing write-up at the same time. It would be so friggin' awesome to have a 2K 12 college hoop game at our disposal right about now but one can't help but wonder about the enormous amount of complaints that would flood the 2K boards here considering there already are tons of issues that have yet to be addressed with NBA 2K12 since both games would be cut from the same cloth. . . now that's something to think about

What are you two talking about? EA never bought the CBB license. 2K deemed that it wasn't profitable enough and dropped out and EA happened to renew. Now neither of them find the license profitable, plus the lawsuits about players also impact their thoughts on whether or not to bring either series back. There was no EA vs 2K battle here, just a lack of demand honestly.

Lack of sales killed college ball games. NOT an exclusive license. EA never bought it. The lengths some people will go...

# 36 JerzeyReign @ 11/18/11 04:07 PM
Only allowed one conference in online mode... no buy for me
