Hi guys,

I'm the Social Media Coordinator for 2kSports and I know we have been having issues with the "My2K" account verification.

The issues to my knowledge are the following:
  • Registered users receive an e-mail and the verification code clicks in as "INVALID"
  • Registered users are not receiving ANY e-mails for verifications
  • From the "update My2K" menu via console, the "Reset Password" feature isn't sending an e-mail
Please leave your registered "My2k" username in this thread and I will manually re-send an e-mail attempt while our team works on the issues at hand.

Thanks for all your patience, I can promise the team is working on hammering out all the issues. For now, I'm here to help with e-mail verifications.

UPDATE:

Great news for you users who need verification for your “My2K” accounts! Now you can verify manually by the following steps:

1. If you go to: https://www.nba2k.com/social/link
2. Enter your “My2K” account name AND password
3. When you log in, successfully, this is an automatic verification of your account via the log in!

Again it’s for people who haven’t received an email, had an INVALID link in their email, or are wanting/needing to verify their "My2K" account.

Additionally, ALL email links will work now, even if they are expired. You just may require a log-in before validating the account.

Hope this will be of MAJOR help to all of you who were having verification issues!

It keeps telling me my account has expired when I try to go online and it takes me to set up a new account. I already verified and authenticated the email that has been sent but it's still doing same exact thing. This is for PS3. my email address is [email protected] and my online ID is Sotsaber. Thanks.

Everything has been set up...everything has been linked...yet I still cannot get video's to show up on the website or youtube. I have saved replays and I have clicked share to up load replays and NOTHING!!! What am I doing wrong? That's only only gripe at this point.

still not working for me...second account also expired although i verificated...IS THERE ANY WORKING CUSTOMER SUPPORT?????????????THIS MAKES ME THINK OF BUYING NBA LIVE NEXT YEAR INSTEAD OF WORRYING ABOUT THIS KIND OF CRAP...MY TIME IS VERY LIMITED SO WHEN I HAVE TIME I WANNA BE ABLE TO INSTANT PLAY WITHOUT HAVING TO CREATE 1000 ACCOUNTS.

Im begging you.. plz fix this!!!! how can 2k affort to miss the chance of filling the gap of nba live has left... dont get it...this would be the chance of winning customers over. i mean they r doing an horrible job with updating the current rosters anyway...i see 1000 manual user updates being more accurate and more up to date...and those ppl do not get paid for doing their job...we at least fix the verification issue! i have been having issues with my account verification. the email link is valid and when i click on it it says my account has been verified, however a couple of days later it says that my account is expired and have to create a new one even though if i log on to the website i am able to. I emailed tech support a couple of times but with no reply. the name on the account is METLFAN. this is becoming a real nuisance to use online features. help would be appreciated thanks

UPDATE:

We might have found a solution to expired accounts. This is from our Dev's:

Please have users either have another email sent to them or go to the old email (which may have expired if they already tried the link) and right click on the link and copy the whole thing into a browser.

This should allow for verification on accounts. Please try this and let me know.

I have a gmail account and Ive switched it to old and new one, nothing. After I click on the new email link it says my account has already been verified but on my xbox it says it expired.

I can access my account on the NBA 2K site, but my PS3 account keeps telling me my 2K account is expired, I also never got a confirmation e-mail, my PSN/2K account name is brndshannon.

Not at all to sound negative, but this still isn't resolved? I'm downloading a copy from Amazon (don't want my retail DVD to continue to be in the drive). I really hope that the PC version isn't having this much of an issue. I know my account didn't work earlier with the retail DVD, let's hope there's no problem this time.

I have manual tools to solve the issue per user if it doesn't verify for you.

Hi, i'm not sure if my problem has been addressed throughout the 50 some pages in this thread, but i read the first page and it is a little bit different. I get the veriication email and click the link, but a day or two later 2k12 is sayin my account expired an i have to make a new one. If you could verify my account that i would like to use, the name is dabullz44. I made multiple accounts because of the verification issues so i hope thats not a problem.
