I wonder if there will be any sim only leagues. I think it would be fun to be in a pretty full league where you just act as a GM and make deals with real people instead of the AI.

There is NO Crew mode in NBA 2K12! Dang man, this is the only thing people care about. I played 600 games in my Crew and I really don't even mind that Crew is being taken out. Too many hackers, too many people not showing players, and too many exploiters (Hop Step, Pump Fake, etc).

I am HYPED......that is all.

SWEET. AWESOME integration, I'm really gonna enjoy this. BUT, what about offline? I don't know if they're gonna come out with a DI on that. I love playing in Association Mode offline, it's awesome in 2k. I wonder if they improved on it...

If that does not excite u, then u either don't like basketball or don't have friends. In either case, my player mode sounds like your 2ktopia. Have fun with that, but please chill with the negative Nancy responses. Sheesh
For that matter, there are plenty of OSers that play together. And I honestly think it's silly for folks to ask if the offline component was touched. Do folks think offline and online Association modes are mutually exclusive?

I don't want to have to find other people that might quit after a day because they didn't get the team they wanted. That's what I hated about league.
It's already confirmed that you can have cpu controlled teams, so I assume you only need 2 persons to start an online association

What would be awesome is if you can take off the sorry guys and add the classic players to the bottom of the current rosters. Then have a user draft. Imagine the line ups there could be!!!!

It's interesting, but I think I'll always be one that doesn't "move with the times" as far as online sports games... I much prefer offline association (wish we could hear something about it, but I guess all association work went to online this year (understandably) so maybe next year they'll take another huge leap with offline.

I am Noob to this site as of 5 min ago. i dont know what the initiation is but hope its not too harsh. I have been reading the updates on 2k12 everday now for a while so i figured i would join. I absolutely loved 2k11 and still do i play everday since i got it last xmas. that being said i am psyched and cant wait til tuesday reading all posts. i haven't had the chance to play the demo so i am hoping the game lives up to the hype. i absolutely love the online association idea they are implementing this year. needless to say ill be standing in line at gamestop midnight on monday.

That insight essentially was just a ton of words/writing to say 2k12 has an Online Association mode, but the only differences from it and 2k11's Association are the ability for other players to reject team to team trades, and that it's played with multiple human players instead of just the CPU...theres literally ZERO improvements made to the actual Association mode in general. They didn't even bother mentioning it...thats freaking unacceptable. An entire year...and 2k doesn't even TOUCH offline Association at all.

# 75 supremeslang @ 09/29/11 11:59 PM
My question is if I start the online franchise, with 1 other person, do we have to play our team schedule against the cpu? Can I invite the friend to play against me? It's much better having a human opponent for every game, not when our respective teams meet during the season.

Thank you. Someone finally said it. Look I understand people prefer offline because they have complete control or don't want to deal with the hassle of people not taking it serious and dropping out half way through, but THIS is why Im dropping my money on the game this year. I also have a bunch of friends who all love this game and we have been waiting for this all year.

Edit: plus, everyone knows that OS is a great place to start up leagues with sim players. For those who don't at least give this mode a try, I think you'll be missing out on a great gaming experience.

# 78 truintellectplaya @ 09/30/11 02:24 AM
Cool, but how are we going to get real players in our drafts?

# 79 darsin @ 09/30/11 05:30 AM
The upcoming endeavor is Online -wait for it- My Player. That is obvious, like you control your team you control your player with some of online other players. The architecture they provide is the basis for this. Start waiting for NBA 2k13 now!

# 80 jrivera34 @ 09/30/11 05:57 AM
I really wish I had the time to get into a bigger league but if we can play this mode with as little as two players my brother and I should have a blast!

All sounds great. Let's just hope it works as expected. Great job 2K!...now please make a football game and do the same :-)
