Man those 4 minutes fly by. I think something has been done to the pace of the game. I remember the 5 minutes on 2k11 could drag on forever.

Maybe your just enjoying the game so much that time seems to fly.

In case this hasn't been answered for you. THERE IS NO SIG GATHER Button. All hopsteps/stepbacks/etc. have been moved into the shot stick. Lessens the chance for cheese. Like the infamous drive the lane and if you get stopped hit the sig. gather for a quick stepback cheese. Its a poof. Get your stick skillz together homie, you gonna need it this year.

You WILL lose the ball if you try to drive into crowds recklessly now. I can make even LeBron lose the ball by drawing some contact. This was in 2K11, but it felt too canned and unnatural. It's a lot more fleshed out now.

Well, just downloaded it for PS3 and played two quarters so far. I've never liked the feel of player control in this game since 2K6, and I'm still not digging it to this day, but it seems to be getting better.

One thing for sure though, the difference in graphics between 360 and PS3 just got much, much smaller than it had in the past. The graphics are very cleaned up compared to how they used to be. Any PS3 gamer should be super impressed with the graphics this year! I hope they're doing the same for their MLB game.

One thing I have to say though, 2K has got to work on their demos. This is a game that thrives on absolutely **** commentary, and they can't showcase it in their demos at all. This also includes replays (automatic or manual), and any sort of advanced control screens, switching teams, or fine tuning sliders. These things would be great assets for a demo if you want to convert somebody (or attract them at all).

Hop step layup- While dribbling towards the basket, move he RS to the left/right of the basket + LT

If you just want the hopstep by itself then you have to let go or tap that combo of buttons briefly. If you want to play out to a layup you have to hold all the way. Much harder than last year and thats a good thing.

It's incredible just how much the movement in this game reminds me of 2K8, and that's a good thing.

I can't put the demo down lol I tried playing Heat v Mavs on 2K11 and it didn't feel right. 2K did good! I just wish we were able to switch teams...oh well. Oct. 4 here I come.

I am drawing a bunch of fouls in my jump shot. I'll admit, I've never been a shot stick user, but I'm gonna get the hang of it this year. So there has been a learning curve, been forcing a lot of shots, but I've been bailed out with a bunch of jump shot fouls. I have not been getting any love in the paint so far. I've been missing layup after layup, but I'm fine playing on the perimeter for the most part.

I officially hate this camera view. 2K is the way to go.

Just FREAKED OUT over something I pulled off with Kidd. I sized up my defender, faked an escape shot, then exploded to the basket and blew past the defender. My layup attempt got blocked, but geez, that was unreal. What makes it even better is that I did all of it, I wasn't helped by ANY canned animations.

15 games down and Joel Anthony has yet to take a shot....that's what you can call epically real!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but for those who wished for the tightness the 2k series was known for before last year floaty animations you will still be disappointed.

It's better than last year but not by much.

Knowing 2k server issues it's going to be worst online and you probably won't notice much difference form last year.

If the movement feels the way it feels offline in the demo when you take it online. If they fix the servers. . It would be an improvement. But like I said. Barely.

Right now this demo can not compare at all to the tightness of 2k7, 2k8. 2k9 or 2k10.

Just take a step with your defensive man forward.

You stopped moving the stick but he's still moving forward.

It's no where near in real time. Why am I watching his two feet plant so slowly.

Which means there is no way you can feel like your on the court.

It's just not real. The animations still need to be tightened up.

Hopefully they have tightened it up a little before they release.

It's better than last year but not by much.

Looks like the fanboys are wetting their pants again when it's nowhere near necessary.

Yet every time I read a hands on preview they talk about how great the game feels compared to last year. Even though these same reviewers never made a peep about how bad the animations were last year. Neither did the fanboys. It was funny reading how last year was the greatest even though the animations were the worst the series has seen on the next gen.

I have both systems. I only played it on the 360.

Shimmy left, Shimmy Right, Pump Fake Left, Spin Right, Pump Fake into a step thru layup....Now that is an untouchable combo in 2k11

I was not a big fan of 2k8, I can honestly say this doesn't remind me of it at all.

Dude's trying to compare 2K12 with 2K9. Even if you're talking about movement, 2K9 was trash in that regard and I really disliked that game, even moreso than 2K4. Crazy warping all over.
