This will be my last post with you as I now see you really are just some fool here to spam meaningless drivel. I am still interested in how much EA is paying you though if you would feel comfortable sharing.
holy jeez. take the stick out of your rear and relax.

LOL at STILL no updated fix list from EA.

What a joke.

Fair enough. Good luck to you, my man.

a guy like me, i don't need luck.

a record start would indicate to me sold more copies right off the bat.

Is this guy serious? You have to belong to a random internet message board to see that things aren't working correctly in the game and not like it?

You've never NOT liked something without checking a message board first? Disliked a movie without reading about it on IMDB? Disliked a food before watching the food network? What a completely odd and illogical statement.

1. Check overall sales.

2. As I've already stated (and you've chosen to ignore since it hurts your point), sales for ANY product that updates is mostly based on the quality of the prior version of said product.

3. You can do whatever makes you happy, but if you're looking for accurate and unbiased information, you MIGHT want to consider not getting your info from the company that actually makes the product. That SAME EXACT blog also discusses how awesome their online dynasties are going. Just saying.

I just had a wild thought after seeing a thread where yet another person called EA about the patch. Why doesn't anyone call Microsoft or Sony and ask them about the status of NCAAs patch.

I too wish that the patch would be released as soon as possible. I was anticipating today like many others but it seems that isn't going to happen. I mean I still enjoy the game and I don't play online so I don't have the many issues that others are having so my gripe about the patch isn't as big as others and their opinion on this situation matters more than mine. But I feel like the team at NCAA may not have the ability to make all the fixes they want in a timely manner or make all the changes we are suggesting because the people in the corporate offices may not allow it. More time devoted to NCAA '12 cuts in to the profits of the game itself. And after looking at EA's financial statements for this quarter, it shows that they are in a 300 million dollar loss. This is substantial for a company and the reason this isn't bigger is because of the sales of madden and ncaa. Anybody can view this financial statements, as they are in the corporate info section of the easports website. So I don't know who is in charge of budget control at EA but it seems like they aren't doing that well of a job. But it would be nice if we could get a patch soon but I just hope it doesnt fall short of what people are expecting here on these boards because of the lack of money that is being devoted to NCAA 12 right now. just my two cents.

If you can call Microsoft and get a substantial, accurate answer as to what the status of a video game patch is, you need to be working for the New York Times rather than fiddling around on a gaming site.

Good luck.

i heard the $$ amount they'd have to pay out if the sammy boy keller trial is successful, and that amount would also make your head spin.

that coupled with a 300 million dollar loss could be absolutely devastating for ea sports.

assuming these numbers are correct.

I don't see what's so hard to understand:

We are pleased to announce that thanks to our amazing fans, NCAA Football 12 has generated its largest first two weeks at retail (July 12 – July 26) on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms in franchise history!
Publicly traded companies can't outright lie about the success of their products.

I'm not going to call them because I know it would be a waste of time much like calling EA is, I'm just saying people know that it is out of EAs hands at this point yet still want to call and annoy customer support about it when if they wanted to feel like they're making any progress they should contact the people that have the patch now.

made a big splash out of the gates it seems to me.

fact is, if you don't belong to the OS community you don't know there are any potential issues with the game.

fact is, out of the hundreds of thousands of people that bought this game there is about a 2% +- that can find anything in the game to complain about.
Hardly a fact.

Logic would say that for every person on these boards there are a certain number of others who feel the same way, both positively and negatively.

I completely understand that there is a certain segment of the gaming population that pisses and moans over little, inconsequential issues in every game they play and that it happens every year, but this edition is a bit different.

There is definitely a groundswell of dissatisfaction with the game, the communication about the game's issues and the overall product put out this year. I definitely think that EA will take notice although I'm also fairly sure it won't make a heap of difference next year as you correctly note that tons of people will buy the game regardless.

Still, if you guys want to make it your mission in life to defend NCAA 12 which by most measures is something of a disappointment, be our guest. Just don't be surprised when you lose credibility in the process.

I don't see what's so hard for you to understand either. Check... Overall... Sales. Not the first week. The game has been out for months now. It'll finish about the same, if not more poorly than previous versions.

...and look what happened to them when they did. Yeah i'm sure EA is lying about their sales numbers of NCAA to all the shareholders and the public.

oh wait this is the EA is the devil crusade, carry on then.

Feel free to link us to these overall sales that you seem to think are readily available. Even vgchartz has sales up ~10% vs NCAA 11 on the HD consoles... which corroborates EA's statement.

You tell us to check facts and then try and convince us the game will do worse than the previous iteration without presenting any. Good luck with that.

And that's comparing 8 week totals for NCAA 12 to 10 week totals for NCAA 11. NCAA 12 has better sales week to week in almost every week for both next gen consoles.

I still wish that patch was out, though.
