i agree most people who dis Varsity level are usually people who never even loaded up a game with sliders on varsity level...they just go off of absumption that the game can only be effective on the highest level
It's one of the reasons why i don't plan on posting any sliders in Madden or NCAA 12 because you always get a bunch macho clowns coming into the slider thread talking down on you as if a lower level makes you any less of a true SIM fan.
Lets not start talking crazy now, I love your sliders Playmaker so if you arent going to post them, how bout some pm action.....lol
So the demo is out and TSS has nothing to say ? I support them but cmon if the game was terrible no doubt it woulda been a couple vids crucifying this game.
Yeah the stone walling still exists. I had the cpu do an all out punt block against me and I picked a regular punt formation. They didn't come close to blocking my punt.
I also noticed when I kick to the CPU on punts, my gunners get down the field too fast and the cpu always forced to call a fair catch.
Far as kick returns go, the cpu don't even follow their block. They just run directly into the heart of my tacklers head 1st. It was funny, 4 of his blockers went left, he just ran right up the middle of the field directly into 5 of my defenders.
They should make punting just as much as a chess match as the rest of the game. IRL the punt return teams has to choose if they want to go for the block or try for a big return. If teams go for the block most of the time they get a little bit of pressure on the punter. In ncaa there is no pressure at all so there is no point of even picking punt block because all that does is allow for the punt teams coverage guys to get down field on the punter.
What they could do is increase the pressure that the punt return teams put on the punter and bring back the old feature where you could hit either R1/R2/L1/L2 (whichever button it was) if you see your punt is going to get blocked to abort the kick and make it sort of like a fire call where the your players release in pass routes.
They also need to add the spread punt formation and the formation with 3 personal protectors as a lot of teams in college are going to that now. And to add I wish they would take out some special team plays like the one with 2 returners. There is no need to have that and the other safe return plays. In its place put different punt block players where the return team dline is stunting.
BLOCKED A PUNT!! i jumped out of my chair in excitment haha with texas
WHHHAATTT. I just made like 3 different posts on the lack of blocked punts. I really hope i come across some. PLease dont tell me the punt team was lined up against its own endzone?????
James for oregon just ran 85 yards on one play and i laughed, and said DAMN hes fast.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had these experiences. I HATE FSU with a passion but I had another kick return where he made me look silly. I used to be able to just sprint down and hit stick all over the place. I tried that in the demo and I completely whiffed b/c it didn't suction. Strangely I was happy about having my guy look so silly.

no just ran punt block and the very last guy on the left was untouched haha didnt even have to dive i just jumped in front
I only played two games. But had the ball at end of 1st half on both and ran them 4 straight plays with zero completions. I am not saying they don't work but I think it has been toned down.

Is this for real if so
I only had 2 blocked punts all year in NCAA 11....i would also like to see the CPU block my punts a few times
Even when i put in the lower rated OL for special teams the CPU still never get close to blocking a punt.....i'm not even sure how to fix it unless EA finds away to include bad snaps into the game
Idk if this has been confirmed by any EA guys, or notice by any OS users, but I've heard some people asking on here and I just saw two #7's on Texas.. one on defense and one on offense, so I assume you can have duplicate numbers for each side of the ball this year..
The out of the box rosters always have had duplicate numbers. You just can add to them other than the one guy in the create a player glitch. It was actually confirmed they are not in b/c they think people will abuse it online by making multiple players have one number and then subbing them in to take advantage. Lame excuse to me but oh well.
