Madden 12 News Post

According to Pastapadre and Kotaku, Phil Frazier (Executive Producer for Madden NFL) is the latest to leave EA Sports Tiburon.

Quote:
"It is currently uncertain where he is headed however two prime possibilities are Row Sham Bow – the new social gaming company started by former Tiburon GM Philip Holt – or the massive social gaming company Zynga which has taken on several former Tiburon employees in the last year."

So, if Madden 12 is a great game, you still calling him out?

LOL. You've got to be kidding.

Everyone is an expert on the inner working of a dev team.

I wonder if the guys who are replacing Ian and Phil are going to be as accessible as their predecessors? Say what you want about those guys they did interact with the hardcore fan base a lot especially in the development of Madden '10. Which was the last madden I played. I will be picking up '12 but I remember how many little things (like cleats) that the hardcore radiance was able to get into Madden 10, correct sized helmet logos were another. FWIW.

Best of luck to Phil, Ian and the rest of the guys that are leaving.

You know my philosophy... Everyone at every job will leave or be replaced someday. So, unless your the owner of the company and plan on selling the company or closing shop, it really doesn't matter. Sure, there may be an adjustment period but, in the end everyone is replaceable.

With that said, good luck in your future endeavors Phil

Just as I am sure the lead dev didn't either.

Excellent logic. Truly.

Just go away please. You have no idea what you're talking about. 13 years of unwavering dedication, an incredible leader, was a key part of why Madden came to be the megahit game it is today, and you're comparing him to Doritos.

No need to criticize former employees like some of the Madden fanboys did with David Ortiz. But I understand why some are still bitter with the recent regime.
Well, David Ortiz brought us sexy player models that were on roids. Phil, and Ian too, brought us a game that was much closer to the vision of OS than David ever would have. I appreciate the work Phil(and Ian) did while with EA and even if I was critical on them and the team, they really got Madden back and running again. The series is finally making strides I don't think we'd be seeing without them. I just hope we keep seeing that momentum.

Just because my opinion differs from you, doesnt mean I have an agenda. People throw the "agenda" word around too much here.
I don't think it started just now. But it's pretty obvious what you are driving at. Logic and facts be damned.

Has nothing to do with my opinion or yours differing from mine.

Not going to lie, a little bit worried about Madden's future. Could be wrong though

Too bad that it's past my bedtime.

Hey now, let's not downplay Doritos. They are pretty damn delicious.

My concern is that it seems just as this franchise is starting to turn around a lot of the main characters are jumping ship.

I haven't really enjoyed Madden since 2004.. This year is the first year I am really looking forward to it's release. It would be a shame if they lose all this momentum due to personnel attrition.

But im sure Phil Frazier or Ian Cummings didnt have anything to do with that.
Madden 10 only "added some cosmetics"?

Okay.

As I said, what you were driving at is quite apparent. Let's not let facts or common sense get in the way.
