Madden 12 News Post

According to Pastapadre and Kotaku, Phil Frazier (Executive Producer for Madden NFL) is the latest to leave EA Sports Tiburon.

Quote:
"It is currently uncertain where he is headed however two prime possibilities are Row Sham Bow – the new social gaming company started by former Tiburon GM Philip Holt – or the massive social gaming company Zynga which has taken on several former Tiburon employees in the last year."

2 Guys I trusted most at Tiburon (Phil and Ian) are now the two that are leaving. I wish him well in whatever he will do.

That was majorly unexpected. If anything it is good timing, in the since that the game almost finished.
I wonder who will take his spot

He was probably holding the company back anyway. Good riddance

As long as Madden keeps improving, that's all that matters to me.
Best of luck though to Phil on his future!

Do they ban people on this forum for stupidity?

Hopefully this doesn't affect the direction they're currently going in.

Pretty surprising though.

Pasta must have one heckuva mole at EA.

Best Jack Bauer imitation:

I want to know who's leaving and I want to know now!

We don't have much time, tell me now or you won't see tomorrow.

You must have more inside info that Pasta.

You do know Phil was their since 97, you know the PS1 and PS2 days.

Good thing: I didn't like the direction Madden was going until this year. So maybe it's better that he left.

Bad thing: I don't know if the guy that is replacing him will be better or worse.
So, Phil had nothing to do with this year at all?

Doesn't matter. It's gone down hill. He's to blame also. He got old and stale, just like the game. Like a bag of Doritos that's been in the cabinet for too long.

Since he was the leading developer, I think he probably had a lot to say about the upcoming franchise mode.
