Its improved but if they could figure out a new way for the players to plant and move correctly I am sure they would have by now. I'm not defending them here, just saying what I believe to be true.

And just to be clear. Just because I can live with it doesn't mean I'm ok with it.
If they can fix it this generation in FIFA then why couldn't they in their football games??

Well to the best of my knowledge FIFA is running on a different engine. I believe they used last gens engine or at least part of it. Madden started with a whole new one which was rushed. I know I sound like I'm defending EA here but to be fair I thought every Madden this gen was, well I would get banned if I said how I really feel. I just don't think they can fix the sliding, gliding, ice skating or whatever you want to call it, fully. There is some sort of limitation preventing that.

This just my opinion. I could be totally wrong. But I believe this to be the case.

I just don't think the developers are that inept. If they could, they would have fixed this issue.

Yeah who knows to be honest, maybe they can't fix it, but maybe they just choose not to spend the time and money to, either way we're stuck with it. My guess is they could spend it if they wanted to spend significant time and money but the suits don't think it's worth it. I really get the feeling the Madden team has much more scrutiny on their resources than games like FIFA do. It's likely that the FIFA designers work fairly independently in regards to issues of this nature and thus why their game is vastly superior since the suits don't get involved..
