The PS3 demo looked horrible. I have 2K10 on PC and playing the PS3 demo was like playing my PC game on medium...at best. There were also some frame rate issues at certain spots.
Outside of the technical stuff, the game is improved. Hitting feels really good thanks to the new camera. The strike zone is no longer gigantic and not every corner pitch is a strike. I wasn't able to enjoy any of the new player models since the graphics were toned down.
Either the demo wasn't near the final build or 2K just gave up on the PS3. I don't blame them though. They're not gonna sell too many units on the system.
Anyone else love the nomar garciaparra sig style for aubrey huff. I about dies when I saw the ol glove wiggle he used to do. I miss that guy....
2K seriously needs to get more sig styles. They have a new one for Posey and Burrell. None of the other ones were new. They're still using a lot of the signature styles I came up with on my spreadsheet last year.
I came up with the Garciaparra stance for Huff. Sanchez's windup is Liriano's, which is what I had on my spreadsheet. Hopefully, they are doing new signature moves for next year's release...since they've said they feel like they're done tweaking with the gameplay and can focus on other things now.
the ps3 version just doesn't feel and look right. 2k probably didn't work as hard on it as they did the 360, where they will sell most of its copies. too bad though, the game seems promising, just feels underdeveloped on the ps3

It's a straight port and whoever ported it did a crappy job.
I have a PS3. Downloaded the demo thought it was good. A lot of the obvious things seemed to be fixed. I was enjoying the game. Thought maybe it will be a two game buy this year. Then came the top of the second. Fly ball to left fielder he camps under it and the game freezes. It totally locks up my PS3 so bad I had to switch off the rear power switch. Unbelievable!!!
the demo is stripped down but its decent, the full version should be much better with all the features, so with that being said i will give 2k11 a try......

I am getting it for PC for $2.61, so I guess that's worth a try.
The Xbox version definitely looks better and I am not liking the framerate hitch every once in a while on fly balls to the outfield on the PS3. I am enjoying it though but it appears the Xbox version is better. And I have not actually played the Xbox version but am basing it of a demo video that I saw.

You know... even though this game is supposedly on Pro. I just played a great pitcher's duel. In 3 innings I (Tex) had 2 hits while the CPU (SF) had none. It was very fun and I can tell I'm going to really have a lot of fun with this game.
I really enjoyed the pitching and I can accept it not being difficult since the demo is on the pro setting. I saw some nice hit variety for the first time in this series including a chopper. The fielding is very nice, they delivered on their promises there. Playing on the PS3, the graphics are...underwhelming, but that is not why I play these games it delivers on the fun factor and that is why I will be picking it up next week! Oh, didn't notice any frame-rate problems gonna go back to playing now
I am getting some glitches in gameplay...latest one is I hit a ball off of the right field wall and Ross caught it off the wall and although I was safe at first I could not advance at all...
The difference between the Show and 2K... With the Show you feel like you're a part of an interactive game of baseball, with 2K you feel like you're playing a typical baseball video game.
Dude, we are not supposed to be comparing the 2 games per the mod's. But since you posted this and it will get deleted anyway I will say that I always felt like I was more involved in 2k's game because of the analog controls and not just pressing a face button to pitch, hit and throw. how can face buttons be interactive? I don't know what else you would mean by that.
Wow, the changing strike zone just happened big time for me.
I was down 0-2, let a pitch go on the outside that caught the plate, and it was called a BALL. Made me so happy haha. Ended up working the count to 3-2, fouled a ball off, and then used the defensive swing and got a bloop hit over the third baseman's head. SO GOOD!
