MLB 11 The Show News Post

What you’ll see is around 10 minutes of gameplay at Miller Park (which has actually been changed since this video was shot.) This is as close to direct-feed that we could get, so the quality is a bit less than perfect. Also, the audio was removed completely as all you could hear was us idiots talking in the background. This is NOT FINAL CODE, and was actually changing throughout the week that we were there. Some things to focus on are the updated player models (no more T-Rex) and the analog controls.

(The team has given permission for me to post this video)

Well, you don't get style points for running the bases. Run efficiently according to your stride, be safe and get home!

lol...in my entire career of baseball from T-ball to college, I have only hit 3 homeruns. One was in Farm League ball 8 & 9 year olds(inside the park), one was in 13 year old league(don't remember what it was called) but hit one down the line and one was in high school while playing against arch-rival New Albany, hit into right field.

I wasn't a power hitter, more a slap/hit for average player.

I guess I fall more in line with countryboy's baseball stats. I actually never hit a home run (one that I hit was caught by the center fielder with his glove over the wall...), but I always enjoyed being a small-ball type of player, with the occasional double or triple thrown in.

I still miss playing, definitely need to find an adult league to join this spring.

I once hit a homerun that bounced right on top of the leftfield fence and then bounced over for a homerun haha. Happened to me in The Show as well

if it wasn't for guys like us, those big boys' 3 run game winning homeruns wouldn't exist.

I haven't played adult baseball in 2 years, the last two years, I've played softball, but we are considering playing baseball again this summer. A friend of ours, who moved away for his job, has recently moved back(still with the same job), so the boys of summer are back.

Look out rec league baseball, here we come. LOL

Aha! So there ARE others who was taught to do it this way! I do agree with the common sense part of it, that if it's a matter of stutter-stepping to do so it would be counterproductive. The most important part is to keep your full stride.

On the subject of still playing, I haven't played Stan Musial since I tore my rotator cuff several years ago. I'm thinking about playing in a 30 and over league this year, though, as my arm feels good and I can still bring some heat (for a slightly out of shape 35 year old, that is!).

Ah, the joys of getting older...the older I get the better I was!
