And, once again, I'm hoping that DLC courses can be used in offline modes (career).

Augusta = purchase for me.

TW08 me be graphically behind, but still the best option for the true sim feel. Only thing wrong with it is the career editor would not work with this version.
If they give us a course editor, then they can't sell us extra courses later as DLC.

There's your answer why there is no course editor.

This is great news! I hope they have the licensed Masters TV music in the game as well.

That is far from the answer.....the tools they use to create courses for the PS3 and 360 just aren't available for either system from a user perspective.....these are not PC's and neither have full keyboard/mouse support that would be needed (among other things) to do a bona fide CA on a console. Others have tried it and the results are less than good....

Aside from the obvious downplaying of Tiger Woods, that's a sweet box art.

Game is sounding very promising this year. I passed on 11, but pending further info, I may pick it this one up.

Being a golf fan it will be very difficult for me not to pick up the first game that has Augusta in it. I am hot and cold with the TW series, but with Augusta and hopefully a true career mode, this is a definite purchase. I didn't buy the last TW and the Ryder Cup is my favorite golf event.

Sounds like they are finally listening to their critics after last year's sales disaster. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the career mode. I want to create an amateur golfer, play some small tournaments, work my way up to Q-school, qualify for the PGA, and then play about 25 career seasons with the option to get picked for the Ryder Cup if I have a good season or lose my PGA card if I have a terrible year. I don't want to see any tournaments where the winning score is like -40 or some ridiculous score like that.

hort, the box says additional 14 courses. its small tho unless you see the bigger version.
so with augusta and the random 18, it makes 16.

for the ps3 owners tho, the extra 5 courses in the CE is the way to go.
they listened to the cries of the ps3 owners, like me, who felt short thrifted on the cours amounts.

Will the Ryder Cup return?

# 34 ExtremeGamer @ 01/04/11 06:43 PM
They already change the date? Wasn't the release date March 29th earlier, even the EA videos said so.

Exactly my point as well. Lack of a good career mode is the reason why this game has gone from an every year purchase to a once every two or three year purchase.

Not sure EG, the fact sheet I received says 4-1.
