MLB 10 The Show vs. MLB 11 The Show Player Model Comparison Screenshots Batch #2

I took these shots using the build from 12-15-10 no camera trickery both shots were taken using the in game photo feature. Same time of day as well. The only difference is one shot is taken in MLB 10 The Show, the other in MLB 11 The Show. The MLB 10 shot is the one on the top.

Morneau looks good. You can definitely see the new model difference in his two pics. He looks more like a man in the '11 one. His muscles are more defined and he looks broader, in a good way.

I am not even into baseball, but I always get MLB The Show 1st day every year. You gotta respect the job and effort of the Show team. that is what good developers, competiton, big disc space can do for you.

Looks great. I'm liking how this year's version isn't so dark as last year. Especially with the Halladay pic the sky in MLB 11 is much lighter that in 10, looks like day/night progression has been improved.

Looks amazing as expected.

Excellent job!

The player models look superb!

But what else stands out is the improvement to the lighting engine (shadows), texturing is much improved, especially on the skin... and even the grass is more crisp and clear!

This is probably nit-picky, but I didn't see Brian Wilson's tattoos. Or maybe I'm remembering wrong and you cant see them because his sleeves are covering them. Not a big deal if they are not there.

At any rate, the new player models look amazing! I also noticed improvements to stadium detail. The best baseball game keeps getting better.

The lighting is magnificent. I too felt the game was too dark last year. This one pops much better.

couple questions.

on the Doc pics, the bottom one is the same time of day as the top?
what does this mean for the lighting changes?
i know, i know, the blog.

also in the Citi Field pic, it looks lighter for the saem time of day as well
dark but not jet black all around.
does this mean proper 9-10 pm lighting?
if so, nice.

one of my pet peeves was the sheet of black when games got late.

also in the Upton pics, u can clearly see the 'T-Rex' arms have gone the way of the dodo.
thanks to the wrist band it's easily noticable.

Yes all those shots are taken from the same time of day.
