MLB 11 The Show News Post

I took these shots using the build from 12-15-10 no camera trickery both shots were taken using the in game photo feature. Same time of day as well. The only difference is one shot is taken in MLB 10 The Show, the other in MLB 11 The Show. The MLB 10 shot is the one on the top.

1. Afternoon games could stretch to dusk/night if they go deep into extra innings and depending on the time of year
2. Games can start at any time, as opposed to just 1 PM and 7 PM like in last year's game. So you could have the 3:05 start like some teams do on Opening Day, also you could have playoff games start in the late afternoon.

Those things would be great.
I'm almost certain that #1 is the case and #2 I really hope to be true as well!

I would make Brians Wilson's beard so long it touches the mount

wow you can really see the differences.... shoulders look better, head is more human shaped and not egg shaped

# 65 bp4baseball @ 12/18/10 03:20 PM
It doesn't make any difference to me, but I wonder if the umpires got the new player models

# 66 YanksFan4Life @ 12/18/10 03:22 PM
I also just noticed the arms too..... everything looks much more fluid and proportional....

# 67 nemesis04 @ 12/18/10 03:23 PM
The new models are definitely fuller and well proportioned.

Sick part is. The body shape and everything, you can just tell it is Jeter, even if it had no number.

Most impressive!

exactly!
even more sick? the fact that the pic is so small and we can see those differences from his 10 model.

March 8th? Bring it on!

I'm pretty sure they have added new animations this year. They have 30,000+ and counting.

They record and add new animations every year. And with the new models, I would expect attention payed for new animations to accommodate since some older ones probably won't align properly.

Also they have made it known that they want tendencies to keep growing in the game. And I believe Chris commented about Andy Petitte last week that they are continuing to add more tendencies for '11 and beyond.

I agree EN...........huge improvement this year in player models. I did notice in one of vids that they still have the 'weak wrist syndrome' when batting.

Love The Show!

So why did SCEA have to torment me with showing these great looking "New Player Models?

Before I saw these improvements I was just coasting along biding my time and now I catch myself checking the second hand ready to ring the bell to start the new round.
March 8th seems a bit longer time to wait now...

I wouldn't have it any other way. You guys at SCEA never cease to amaze me!

Two little things I would like added are:

1) To be able to add a five O'Clock shadow to created players .
Like you would see on guys like Yogi Berra.

2) add an extra skin tone shade in between # 2 & 3

One happy camper,
motor scooter...
