The patch isn't bad, too many people cry for nothing, the bug are fixed, it's cool...
They can do another patch if they want, if he can fix another little detail
, it's cool.
I think since the patch or at least lately my friend and I have had difficulty playing a game online (us two vs. cpu) as the game gives some kind of network error. I don't know what the issue is, but I wonder if the patch has anything to do with it?
This patch has totally stuffed the game. My player mode is just so boring now, unless your point guard. The guy just sits there dribbling the ball for almost 20 seconds. The shot timing is just stuffed up.

Does anyone else have this issue?
@bball_1523
I was having this issue while using the 12-1-10 official 2k roster update. But when i had downloaded the 12-4-10 official 2k roster, the issue does not occur. If I remember correctly, the network issue was due to issues with the 12-1-10 update. Hope this helps.

Wow, I don't have this issue at all. I'm a center and am averaging a double double a game. Every play (well 80%) has me active. We are on three game win streak right now. Beat the Bobcats, Lakers and Hornets.
I've noticed in order to get them to hit a better 3pt% I need to sometimes break out of a play and set a pick. They hit incredibly well uncontested (duh) but I'm starting to read the cpu AI's patterns and can read when they are going to go for a three so I break out of my called position and try and set a screen for them. Been working well the last three wins.
Is there anyway to download the patch not through the game? My internet has dropped at home and so I have no way of getting the patch anywhere! Really want to update the game with the patch!

Everyone I know who uses a big man has great rebound numbers, especially offensive. My 52 rated PF leads the L with 5.5 offensive rebounds. The one good thing about the post patch playcalling is that you pretty much know when the CPU is going to jack up a terrible shot.
All I meant by that is was there an official page somewhere for people without access to the net who could get the patch.
No, it's not like this for any video game out there.
Sony does this with their firmware updates. That's about it. Patches require you to have the game with your console connected to that system's online service.
So this game started to get a little boring to me because it was basically a 120-112 type scoring fest, even with teams like the Celtics playing the Bulls. So I messed around with the defensive sliders to see if I could tighten the game up and...
Wow. I am in love with this game all over again. When the defensive side of the ball isn't just "get in their way for 20 seconds before they find a cutter or wide open guy" and is more dynamic, it's a totally new ball game.

the one thing they said was patched was CPU dunks branching in to contact animations. i cant seem to do this? every time the CPU goes for a big dunk my guy just stands there. ive tried pressing block, turbo+block, turbo+right stick in dunkers direction. any tips on hard fouling post-patch?
Raised defensive awareness. I don't mind the steals because...if you make a bad pass, it should be tipped.

It's annoying enough to stop me playing for a while. Is it fixed post patch? (PC patch has been delayed)

I have yet to see this on a consistent basis myself. The contact animations I have seen have been when I attempt a dunk in traffic. When the CPU attempts a dunk and the A.I is controlling my teamate, the player will just do a "backward lean" animation. Perhaps there's a timing window in which to trigger the animation?
I'm not sure if this has been posted yet but the trajectory of jump shots taken along the baselines have been changed post patch. It almost impossible to hit those now...
