I actually have a the half spin down pack...I think its the easiest of all the moves to pull off. But I have not favorite of all the moves. I've used all of them to get by a defender.

I have one more question about isomotion..do you have to hold LT during the animation as well or let it go while the move is being done?
Once it starts its done... You should only hold it if for sure you know the next move you are going to make (Isomotion double move)
quite easy to pull off but sometimes they mess up with others in paint
The Kobe Move is a layup package. Go to edit player an look at his sigs. So is the Crawford move. Everytime I do the Kobe move by flick flick, I end up with the pivot followed by a one hand layup. Like a up an under move.
Hey What's up guys.
I've noticed that no one has really talked about the face-up iso moves a lot and their uses, so I thought I'd chime in.
Initially, I wondered what the use of these moves were, as they really didn't help me get by the defender and they where all stationary. So, after more extensive training, I will tell you what I've learned. Hopefully it'll help you as much as it's helping me. After a while of doing it, it should start to feel natural, and you should be able to integrate it well with your other techniques. I'm playing on ps3, but I'm this applies to Xbox as well.
1.) Okay, first of all, you should know the basic face up moves. While stationary, hold L2 + Up,left, right, down. Of course, each direction gives you a different move. Here's where both your technique and the beauty of the discrepancy between good and bad ball-handlers come in. L2 + left/right will essentially cause your player to fake either left or right. Now, lets say you decide to fake right. Immediately after initiating the move, let go of L2, and continue to hold the left stick right. Now, here's where you have them. If they anticipate this, crossover to the left. However if they don't take the bait, you can stay moving in that direction and bust them with a shudder step (tap L2, while moving). This will work wonders with a great ball-handler. Especially if you have a mismatch on a poor defender. I've also found that tapping L2 after going right/left, automatically crosses you in the other direction. Please, don't try this with someone like Derrick Fisher. With a slower/poorer ball-handler, just stick to the standard, "fake one way, go the other method."
2.) Secondly, another trick that I found that worked 80% of the time is using this method, but instead of pressing left or right, press L2 + up. This time, after pressing L2 + up, you want to release L2, and continue to hold up. Yes, you going right at the defender. (Now sometimes, strangely the defender will jump either left or right, right out of your way.) After doing this, immediately shudder step (L2) if you are being playing tight. This isn't invincible however-you still can be blocked. Actually doing that I think about it, if the defender isn't playing you tightly, the shutter step will allow you blow right past them. Another tip that I found works when playing a poor defender is to notice their footwork. If he does a lot of back peddling, go right at him. This is more of a timing thing. If you see the slightest hesitation, make him pay. You can also mix this up by moving either left or right after breaking the defender with L2 + up. In theory, this should work because the defender is anticipating on you moving forward. There is no way he should be able to back peddle, then jump in your way in one fell swoop.
3). Lastly, the use of the dropstep shot (Down on the right stick , while moving across the basket) is very effective when your defender is either beaten, or just a step behind. The leaner is great too. Especially when used with a great mid range shooter who can shoot of the dribble.
My advice is to practice these first in freestyle mode on the camera type that you primarily play on. Afterwards, practice it with the intra-squad practice mode. This is just a simple explanation of all the potential moves that can be made using this template. You're only limited by your creativity...and well....maybe a poor ball-handler. After enough practice, it should feel naturally, and the moves will hopefully flow. Hopefully this stuff helps.

I been doing the fake behind the nack pass with a few players now. Can't seem figure out what direction I'm pressing when I drive in.
Oh yea, something else that was really hurting me is the fact that the left stick should be centered between every move, which is taking a lot more practice. lol.
Btw, another move that I find really works against good defenders, is to do the hesitation move, while holding the left stick towards the ball hand. Usually, while driving to the right side of the basket, this move will get you to the side/corner of the basket quite often, assuming the defense is in man. Don't get too happy though, as it's not always a sure thing. It is a very good weapon to have in your arsenal though. This is assuming of course, your defender isn't shading towards your driving lane.

Are fancy passes still done by passing while holding the turbo button or is it completely random?
anybody have a video or tips on the double cross....I can only get my guy to do the in and out or a crossover. I know I'm not doing it at the right speed....I used to be able to do it....but I took a week off cause of work and now I can't. I'm hoping seeing somebody else do it will remove this mental block.

There are some fancy contextual passes that happen while you're driving and decide to pass off.

It's all contextual.
You'll see it happen in the game based on the situation. You can't directly pick your pass type, but your Turbo+pass influences the pass chosen.
You can't expect to see a silly ridiculous "fancy" pass in every situation just because you hold turbo and press the pass button.

It might also have to do with that player's passing rating. I see a lot of fancy passes from Nash and Paul even with the flashy pass slider set low.
