Who are we to demand anything though? If EA felt the demo was ready and they wanted us to play it, they've would've given us a date. If they want people to buy the game based on how the demo was, they would've given us a date.

It's up to EA when they want us to play the game and it's up to their marketing scheme to provide it whenever they feel it's right to release it.

You are the customer that they are trying to attract. Right now, you ARE in a position of power. The consumer always is. That's why I wonder why people can whine about the NFL deal, but STILL go buy Madden. But I digress.

They've already said that it's been submitted and it's just waiting on approval from either Sony or MS. In other words, it's kind of out of their hands at this point.

The demo will be exactly like the retail version, gameplay wise, so it better be worth the wait, or I will be a lost customer due to EA lack of info, poor marketing, leaving us in the dark this year, I consider this one of the worst yrs of following EA, hope it's worth the wait

If you are a smart buyer there is a lot more to it than just demo-ing stuff. You damn well know partial view of something is not enough. Remember there was that game that didn't have subs enabled in retail? Deal breaker. Demo is just a commercial. You still can't be 100% what you are getting (60% to me). There is a lot that this product should offer, so putting so much importance on the demo is just not needed IMO.

Def. not canned. I actually saw this first hand and it's a pretty slick way of having the AI learn what you are doing and playing it back. I did a few moves, then the AI, within context, was trying to attack me the same way. Pretty scary.

Pre-recorded sequences are completely do-able at any time by the user.

Not looking like it'll come out tomorrow unless they spring something last minute. Which means it would likely come out the 28th - same day as the MMA demo. Can't be any later than that because the game drops the next week.

isn't this kind of what nba 2k9 did, the AI would learn and adjust according to what you were doing, and play it back. I want to see this in action, demo needs to get here.

I don't recall anything like that but I also saw it from a development standpoint so my perception may be different.

I recall them using VIP to track stats and such but it was not as in depth as their NFL title used it, from what I was told.

According to the PS Blog, PSN updates tonight so we'll find out soon whether we get it this week or next week.

Yeah, usually a post with the content goes up at around the same time that the update goes up, maybe a little earlier. I wonder if EA knows this and will announce the demo release before this happens, because if not we will be finding out on our own very soon..

At least we'll know. I doubt we'll get it this week, which is a shame since I'm sure we'll see full versions of the game (both this and other bball titles) this weekend in the "wild."

yea i have been thinking about that. They are going to have the full game playable at these events but the demo is not even out yet. I dont get that.

And the fact that it does get updated today and we havent heard any news about it makes me think its going to be next week also

hey I think that we are getting the demo today b/c think about it EA wouldn't want to have two major demos to conflict each other from the same company I think that is why the Elite demo wasn't released last week b/c of the FIFA demo and next week the MMA demo comes out.
