What the heck? Demo coming soon? Is late already, come on, just don't talk about anything else and give it to us and let us try to see how much control we have, you guys talk enough about the controls over and over again, let us control the controls you kept repeating PLEASE!

This definitely looks good, if the game looks as good as that trailer, I may purchase this along with the other game.

LOL you are probably too young to know how bball looks on PS2. Some are stupid and proud of it.

Wow!!! A Demo with some substance.. If this plays this good as what there offering on the demo... then EA might have won a lof of the fans back. i haven't seen a demo like this in a while...

You have to give EA alot of props for this.. because they have been taking a beating about Elite from the beginning...

I'm excited about this demo... I hope this hype is worth it...

Hype of people wanting to play the demo... I mean the train of support of this game is losing ground by the day.. but with the news of this demo it has gotten a bit of steam... and hopefully then can release a good demo which would start the train back a little bit..

Lets be honest.. EA has lost a lot of momentum from a very Live 10 game until now.. they have caused a lot of worry when Mike went back to 2K and they decided to bring in Dave from Hockey to restart this series.. then without the blogs... videos and other things that they other game has done so far.. it has made EA have little to stand on...

So what i was saying was with a great demo for us play (hopefully before the actual release date) it can bring some kind of hype and attention to this game..

You really have no eye for detail if you think that. Either that, or your memory of what PS2 games looked like is terrible.

Cant wait to finally play a hoop game that I can actually control. None of that LT + RS / moving away from the basket while pressing up/ "flick flick" and throwing salt over your left shoulder just to pull off a cross over.

Now you're borderline trolling.

And you obviously have no idea about the depth of controls in Elite. This game is headed the same way, simply with one-to-one movement.

Same overall idea, but I believe our controls are a lot more intuitive and feel more natural.

Especially if you play ball in real life.

Granted I'm only going off descriptions as I haven't tried the 2K demo yet.

Will do once I get back.

I agree with you to an extent. The problem is the setup is a necessary evil to include some things that just translate very poorly to your one-to-one scheme.

What do you mean?

I'll PM you. It will eventually evolve into discussion that will take this thread off-topic.

I was sayin that about the defensive controls in the other thread, I like how you give the user basically all the options a real life player has, but he can just use his own strategies to decide how to play defense. It seems like its the same thing on the offensive side.

And for someone who plays a lot of basketball in real life for myself but is also a serious online gamer I think this is cool. It adds personality to the player.

rEAmiatior... quick question... are controls similar in structure to how the hockey games are??

# 100 Eski33 @ 09/18/10 12:13 PM
I am not a follower of either publisher when it comes to having a favorite. I haven't purchased a NBA game in years but this year 2K11 is looking pretty sweet. However, I am excited to check out Elite and the controls.

I don't have high expectations of the game but I do hope that it is solid. Great to have competition in at least one sport....

Pasta said that indications show that the Elite demo will most likely be this Tuesday..
