That's good to know...

But that being said... will players dive for loose balls in situations where they shouldn't?? Or what kind of situations other than loose balls where you will see contexual animations??

I need a fix!

Re: canned anims - this is one of those terms that gets thrown around on this site and I know some people know animation but as a point of clarity: in elite we're using motion capture, with the ability to layer different anims on various parts of the body. In addition there are no two man sequences.

Apologies to those that have heard this a thousand times.

Re: loose ball - it was re-rewritten this year and I find the logic much better than last year's (in particular situations where you feel guys should be going for the ball and are instead just kickin it)

im loving the the fact of no canned animations, but my only concern is the fact that their is no player differentiation, all them dribble alike and seem to shoot alike, and everyone does the same dunks, i really hate that fact about elite, lebron or kobe doesn't play like lebron or kobe!

There will be some player differentiation when it comes to animations since they are still building off of Live 10. Kobe and Lebron had different dunk packages last year so I don't see that changing this year.

There's going to some sig stuff in that game just no where near the other game's level.

Looks like this will be a pretty good demo, I have to give it to EA on the way they put thier product out there every year, kinda like take it or leave it....this is what you get. Can't wait to try this out.

EA should sell NBA Jam for 29.99 and give Elite11 for free. The game would sell more than Halo Reach XD

Yes, you have FIBA.

Looks like the tables have turned. This is a great idea and I think that it'll work perfectly. I'm surprised nobody has come up with this idea... instead of the empty feeling at the end of the game, this will be a true finish. And hopefully instead of pretending that there is time left on the clock and calling timeouts/intentionally fouling in the 1st, the computer will play as if it really is the closing seconds of the nba finals.

LOL.

Apparently they got a lot of feedback from NHL fans who were pissed off about seeing the Stanley Cup celebrations in a DEMO...so I doubt they screw up twice with the NBA demo.

BTW MJ Jr...You seem to have hated every 2K moment this season and loved everything ELITE has brought...so you're set to go. You should just enjoy the season and not worry about who likes what. If anyone is happy with either game, then ultimately that's all that matters

Personally, this will be the first season the demo actually will decide if I buy LIVE /ELITE. Normally I just get it regardless.
Double post, come on man it's not at all like that. As I said above, it adds a sense of accomplishment and puts a big period at the end of the game. So you can take a break, sigh, and be proud of yourself for a moment before hitting 'rematch.'

This should be a good demo, I left live after the 96-97 when Dreamcast came with 2k-sports, but I have to admit, this demo looks good.

i hope this demo is fun and competitive when you play on higher levels. and i think every real basketball player will love this game if it is really no more sucking and pulling animations.

pre recorded sequences are things that nba players try to do on certain spots of the court meaning they attack u like they would in real life but u can make them change the go to attacks or whatever depending on how u play defense//

# 139 ombcam @ 09/20/10 05:42 AM
