I am conflicted. I downloaded the demo on the PS3 to compare to the 360 version. Much to my dismay - the 360 version controls significantly better. The controller feels better and is more responsive (plus I like the bearded D Fish better than the Goatee version ). I know it "just a demo" but I am concerned - I wanted to buy the PS3 version due to Move and 3d support - but the control is what makes this game for me. I can't in good conscious go with the version that has 'worse" control.

Anybody else try both? Am I the only one seeing this?

yeah...it sucks!! my brother came over yesterday and wanted to play versus...

i play it over and over just to get the timing and controls like the one momentus posted...its a thing of beauty if you get it down like he does...

Yeah, I need to be able to call play reliably. Czar's videos got me going. So has Momentous's video, but I could never do what he does.

Jordan never got a full head of steam away from the basket though. Not the same man. Seems hard to do because I keep getting a cut. We will see.

I think you're in the minority for the people that have been skus man. I have a PS3, but I did not download the demo for it because I have it on the 360 already. But most folks have said that the PS3 version felt tighter to them. So, I don't know. You are a first.

^ THIS. CAN KG EVEN SHOOT FROM THAT FAR AWAY?

Yes. He's only been one of the best shooting PF for the last 15 years or so.

No, you're right, it's not the exact same thing. I was being facetious; people pointing out cheesing against the CPU in a demo makes me chuckle.

You have a point. Anything with Kobe using the DEFAULT skill and style is too easy and therefore, cheese.

It looked like it would have been well defended if the defender had contested the shot and the help defender was able to peel off of his guy in time...

Seriously, during his MVP year, he was arguably the best shooting big man in the league, at least from about 20 feet in, Dirk still had him beat from outside. I think people forget what KG is capable of doing, just because he doesn't shoot long jumpers as much these days doesn't mean that he can't.

I like how it feels... BUT IT IS UNPLAYABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate that camera angle, The feel of the game is enough to warrant me to buy it, But I cannot wait to play it in 2K Cam

Audio missing was obviously going to happen. Detracts from the game, but it's a demo. Par for the course.
Can't call plays. Kills a lot of it for me.

I'm not going to state the obvious. There are some amazing things that shows the promise of the final. But all I read about was control... and I expected more.

I've only had a small sample but initial impressions weren't the best IMO.
Well, I'm more than willing to eat my words. I finally got a hang of the controls... bravo 2k.

HOWEVER...

Momentum still is over done. There are things I'd like to see different in terms of movement overall. I understand when people say it feels stiff, but at the same time you can see there is a respect to movement by a player (steps, footplanting, etc.) that was not there in the past.

I'd like to see turbo be more subtle and easier to employ. In real life, when you're playing a sport there is acceleration and top speed. While this is less apparent in bball than say, football, it's still something that needs to be accounted for.

Still... the dribble control is real nice once you get the hang of it.

I seriously don't know how you guys do it. Because I only played it twice last night. And was done. I thought the improvement were awesome. I want to see some human on human interact really bad.

I can't wait to actually run plays.

Yea that was one thing that bother me last night after playing it twice. Not really that good at inputting the dribble moves that way.

LoL... I played it twice two and put it down. The dribbling is way too hard like you stated, I also can't really tell pass lanes at that angle too...

If I get desperate (Which I don't see), I might play again

Jeebs, its a demo man. I think most are just taking it for what it is. It SUCKS it barbones....Im just gald we got something early from 2k...Its basically just a teaser of some of the improvements. @ Pared....Yeah, when you put some work in on the controls its awesome...but I feel you on the momenteum...IMO its a necessary evil..

# 999 tcain80 @ 09/15/10 10:28 AM
I am just blown away by this demo. The physics, the animations, the fluidity of the gameplay...it's amazing. Such a huge step up from previous games it's not even funny. I bought Live last year because the 2k games had turned into such a mess, but man what a difference a year can make.

# 1000 elprez98 @ 09/15/10 10:35 AM
I don't understand the issue with the demo. Its not the full game and its only supposed to show you what the game is like, not give you every option or even a full game.
