Easy E when you gonna upload some of these jumpers to your page....I want to see that paul pierce set shot....love it
Hey man nice to see you guys still remember those haha, yeah as i've told most and put on my status on youtube to remind; i've been waiting till the 15th (internet billing month) cause i went over my usage limit so uploading and downloading videos would make me pay too much. So since tomorrow is the 15th () I'm hoping to start uploading a BARRAGE of videos on the 16th or the 15th if it doesnt coun't as part of my monthly usage
and i have a lot of catching up to do lool, with such names like kevin durant, deron williams, kobe bryant, ron artest, ginobili, duncan, ray allen, pierce, garnett, rondo. Yeah...lots of work haha
Jano, it takes years to Achieve the Isomotion. Don't speak lightly of it.
But seriously, this is another reason I'll enjoy the game so much this year. I can actually do things on a consistent basis. 2K9/10, if I did something hella tight, it was probably luck, or if I could recreate it it didn't look as cool because someone probably warped, slid, teleported, and hopped out his time machine to mess up the essence of the play.
2K7/8/11 allowed/allows you to create things and put them in your back pocket. It'll get to the point where that back pocket is so full you won't know which move you want to pull out to make the defender look stupid.
So true man that was one of the biggest things stopping me from hittin the practice gym. This game has so many options and moves this year that I would be doing myself an injustice if I didn't at least become decent at it.
I've already had some SICK plays that made me pause the game and walk out of my room in shock thinkin to myself...
"Did I really just do that! That couldn't have been me that was just an animation" LOL!
That NEVER happens to me in these 2K games so the fact that I could even luck into something like that gives me hope man...
Not impressed, as the game feels lagging, dragging, very heavy, mechanical instead of smooth, light and under control. Hoping the final build runs smoother and more organic!
This game plays better than 2k10 in every way. I felt 2k10 was a step back for thebseries. it never gelt like i was controling the players. This is ten times better.
I'm not feeling the "new feel" of the game, at all, so far. Maybe as I play on, it will become more apparent but, again, it feels like NBA2K and nothing's really changed. I will play some more when I get up but as for now, onto the Fifa 11 demo.
I am getting better and better with the controls now. Got to the point now my favorite thing to do is let Rondo or Ray Allen drive to the hole and I run up behind them and pin their layup attempt on the backboard.
Takes a while, but the controls are awesome. Would be even more awesome when I can play with the 2k cam. Alley oops look nasty. The kind of crossovers you can do with Kobe is just insane.
I so can't wait to play with Derrick Rose and John Wall.
it is hilarious because i won't be buying it if i can't figure it out. demos are what i base my purchase of a sports game off of.
and i probably won't waste my time trying. it wasn't worth 2k's time to explain basics, so i doubt it's worth my time to buy their product.
2K HAS taken the time to explain the basics, they have posted insights regarding controls already, not to mention there's an in-game controller viewer. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to shoot, pass, block, rebound and steal, which is what the basics are. Like I said, it is just hilarious that you throw out these ridiculous comments about the game "not living up to hype" just because you won't take 5 seconds to figure out the controls. Not living up to hype has nothing to do with incompetency.
Can you still do a double crossover? I can't seem to do it.
As far as I'm concerned, NO...its the only move I couldn't pull off with regularity, unless they consider the inside out cross over dribble of LT+Left stick --> and <---- again to be the double cross.
Although sometimes the inside out right cross over dribble gives you a double cross animation, but it isn't consistent.
Also the sig gathers are different animations depending on when you use it; in the paint area it gives you hop step gathers but on the perimeter, it can be used for nice step back jumpers that give you a ton of space to get your shot off. Loving the controls after playing the demo to death. Hitting the sac...lol.
The demo didn't quite do it for me. After a dozen quarters it feels all too familiar. There were some ridiculously cool moments (loving soming of the passes out of dunks and gathers) but as I play more, the cool moments that wowed me the first time start to become old. All the exciting plays get repeated and start to look and feel stale. Hopefully this is a result of limited teams in the demo?
Visuals seem tight... until the camera pans in during post whistle (where Bynum appears to be father time, Artest is as creepy looking as you can get and the facial gestures seem to stretch and break everyones face). Presentation is well done with good commentary and sharp overlays. The ball is strange looking though as it appears to be glowing which keeps catching my eye in a bad way (maybe it is stadium specific) ?
Still bad sliding/twitching/popping during locomotion but show me a basketball game without it. Still suction and unresponsiveness during jostles/collisions but it seems improved.
All-in-all, it plays alright but I was hoping for a something big (maybe as big as the cover boy )
Just played the demo and it reminded me of the Live 10 from the opening scene to the controls. The controls felt much better than 2k10 but not as smooth as Live 10. I liked the pass defense which again reminded me of when I played the Live 10 demo. I thought the shots looked better with the fall through animation but they were going bank shot crazy.
I had a similar feeling to, some of the crossovers and animations felt similar to Live 2010. Also the way shots fall, but 2k11 brings it to another level with their signature shots.
As far as I'm concerned, NO...its the only move I couldn't pull off with regularity, unless they consider the inside out dribble of LT+Left stick --> and <---- again to be the double cross.
That's what I was thinking. Without LT I can only do two normal speed crosses. With LT he'll only do an in-and-out move.
