NCAA Football 11 News Post

The NCAA Football 11 patch #3 is available now for the PS3. Will update this post when it is available for the 360.

*UPDATE: The Live Tuning Pack 3 has released for PS3, will update when it is available for the 360.

Here are the details, for those of you that don't know what is included.

Quote:
Title Update 3 (TU3)

* The pump fake exploit was resolved. The entire defense will no longer rush the QB after a pump fake.
* Resolved an issue with setting SS/ FS to QB Spy and then blitzing, virtually unblocked.
* Increased the Overall rating for incoming freshman. This resulted in one and two star freshman coming in at a higher overall rating.
* In Season Progression is back! Players once again have the ability to get a slight boost to their ratings during the season.
* There was an issue with Hawaii's home schedule causing conflicts with particular teams. This has been resolved. In particular, teams in the Pac 10 and the WAC will now have the correct number of conference games.
* Resolved an issue with the Rush Defense slider where they were only impacting defensive line special moves. They have been adjusted to also impact win/loss chances for blocking.

Live Tuning Pack 3 (LTP3)

* Kick Power/Kick Accuracy progression for Kickers and Punters was adjusted to be in line with the new incoming freshmen. Kickers and punters will now progress in line with other players, but will start with a higher average overall due to the improved recruit ratings in the patch.
* Increased Awareness progression for all positions.
* Increased progression slightly for Elusiveness, Spin Move, and Juke Move for Wide Receivers.
* Increased progression of the Tackle rating for Corner Backs to be in line with WR skill ratings (Juke, Spin, and Elusiveness).
* Reduced the frequency of defenders successfully jumping the snap. Also adjusted how frequently they would jump early when the offense performed a fake snap.
* Tuned Man Coverage so defenders will not jump in front of routes so early. They will still jump the route, but not as early, or frequently, as before.
* Adjusted in season progression to be in line with higher rated incoming freshmen.
* Tuned Incoming freshman to better match the spread on the default rosters.
* Tuned team prestige progression to be in line with the changes to incoming freshmen.

Post-patch I'm clocking the max replay run time at somewhere between 11-12 seconds...is that longer than it was before?

Anyway, it's noticeably longer than Madden's which looks like about 8-9 seconds.

I played an online game this morning after the patch and it was the best online game Ive ever played. Like the changes. The guy fell behind and tried to resort to the pump fake glitch to come back... ooops!!!

Do I have to restart my dynasty for all of the changes? Obviously I know the schedule can't be fixed, but will the other changes take place? Not a big deal for me, just wondering.

i think if you want recruitment changes to be apply on that year, yes you have to. Otherwise they will be implemented for year 2.

Not gonna get this till the tuner comes out. After some of the issues with Patch 2 & Tuner 2 getting released at slightly different times.

You could usually do that before if you just switched the camera angle. The broadcast cam might not have the whole thing, but often times, the other ones did.

Is it bad that I keep refreshing to see if it's out for the 360? Today feels sort of like Christmas.

So the patch and tuner set is quarantee to drop this morning correct.
Does the delay have to do with Labor day weekend?

I feel sorry for the other guy im my OD who didn't play his game before the patch (vs. Texas). This is gonna be baaaad, lol.
Acts, that is EXACTLY what i was thinking. I got mine in last night to avoid any ridiculous changes to the gameplay from the patch.

Some schedules were fixed, sort of, but most of them are still filled with errors. The 6 Big 12 teams that either had 3 or 5 conference home games is still there, same for a handful of SEC schools, Houston and Notre Dame. They still start on the wrong date. There shouldn't even be a week 15. There should only be 14. That goes for most every year. Arizona State and Stanford still play 6 conference road games and only 3 home. San Jose State and Wisconsin still only have 11 unless you go fix it manually.

The only changes to the schedule seem to be adding USC-Wazzu and Nevada-Boise, and the 1 other WAC game that was missing. It took away USC-Hawaii, and invented a game for West Virginia that they're not playing. I'm sure if I sim into season 2, I'll see that conference games still don't rotate, so this did very little to fix the problem, just took it from horrible to slightly less horrible.

I can't really download anything until the tune files is out (since i have to go to a neighbors to download for the time being), and that's my big concern... I couldn't really care less if the individual year 1 schedules are off, but not rotating is a big issue. Any chance you could go ahead and sim forward and check?

It's really ******** that EA cannot get the schedules right. I mean how hard can it be? And it's not even a new issue...it's been broken in the game for 2 or 3 years now.

That being said, it's not a game killer like the pump-fake or broken dynasty issues.

# 38 JeremySpoken @ 09/07/10 12:18 PM
A little more explanation on the running game statements? I have had CPU run blocking at 100 and user run d on 0 for four seasons and have been 1st in rush D every time...the rest of the game is the right difficulty level for me. Would be nice if this was fixed without having to pump up CPU RB ability so much the back just crushes everything in front of him.

are the issue/changes enough to restart your dynasty? Im reading what it says and cant really decide. From my understanding the issues with recruiting will be solved when you go to the next season of your dynasty anyways?

Yes the recruiting will be fixed for every new recruiting class generated, but recruiting classes generated previously will not be fixed.

I decided I'm going to start a new dynasty.
