At 2:25 the cpu Lebron grabbed a offensive rebound, pump faked, then put the ball in the hoop. I never witnessed that type of play in 2k10. Impressive

Holy Jeebus. I've been trying to keep the hype meter low since theres so long to wait...but dam.

I haven't been through the thread, but i'm sure that sequence in demo Nr. 6 from :22 with LeBron baking the D and hitting Udonis has been talked about. The fact that it was the CPU made it that much sicker. Like Bleehhhhhhh....all over myself. My homie was calling me all day to check em out, but I wasn't expecting this.

Love how the ball fakes are going to have an impact on the faceup and post games and the CPU AI looks fantastic. I also love the fact that there are more dribble animations that are gifted on bad steal attempts. Hacking cheezies are going to get smoked online, heh heh.

I know 2K gets flack for not showing anything til the last minute, but Id prefer they don't. This is gonna be one long month.

Looks like I'm late. Never mind.

Highest res clip yet. The facial animations after that Lebron layup were phenomenal!

# 125 wrestlinggod1 @ 08/20/10 11:23 PM
Yeah he looks like he was calling for the foul.

LOL, You're so right - I missed that on the first watch. And after the pass Lebron wasn't really looking for a no look pass and I LOVE how Lebron kind of bobbles the ball and has to track it down in traffic. That looks so natural and realistic! This game is completely surpassing my expectations thus far.

This clip right here is no joke for 2 reasons. within the first 10 seconds.

1-Amazing bounce pass(perfect choice!) by CPU Lebron on a fastbreak between 2 defenders.

2-Layup finger roll by Mike Miller without glass!!

# 128 -DaVe- @ 08/20/10 11:56 PM
One small gripe:
Mike Miller doesn't shoot like that

Yea, that's one thing that caught my eye this year, this game is looking really good.

List of noticiable improvements. You can see these from the first few seconds of the demo. It is like a night and day difference from 2K10

1. Smoother animations across the board
2. Jumpers are improved dramatically. Players actually jump on their jumpers much more realistically.
3. Cpu AI offense defense is much more realistic. You make a stupid pass and you will pay.
4. Dribbling it appears the user is in much more control of the players.

If the controls have improved to the level in which they look like this game will be hard to put down. I had to sign up to comment on these videos.

there is a learning curve... and you also have to understand that these guys don't have a detailed controls cheat sheet to look at. The controller card we gave them is very basic with just the essential buttons mapped out. that's why you've seen pretty much zero isomotion moves by the mavs in these vids.

AND the fact that it was basically the only J that Haslem ever takes, the 12-15 foot baseline jumper. Coulda been a coincidence but still awesome.

Ehh one thing I have noticed is that with the authentic plays in the game this year you actually find that some of the lesser known players naturally find themselves in the same positions where you see them score in real life. Its kind of erie sometimes, but if you think about it. If Dwade is playing like himself from the same areas of the floor then that forces the defense to react like they really would which leads to guys like Haslem getting similar offensive opportunities as they do IRL.

I can't wait to talk more about the AI in this game.

oh Czar you're just itching to let loose! i look forward to your thoughts on this...im really curious how play calling is handled...will it be like last year with symbols and paths indicating where to go and move? or will it be something similar to Live 10? i prefer Live's style since seeing an arrow on the ground kinda takes out the realism...

all i know is that i cant wait to finally play a game where i NEED to call a play to get a good shot off....

I'm not sure if this video from Gari14WENB was already posted but I'm gonna post it here anyway. Don't want to start a new thread for this.

Notice 0:16 to 0:20, travelling violation is called after Haywood did two step-backs. Afaik, in 2K10, you can't do two consecutive step-backs. Please correct me if I'm wrong about that.

Yeah I agree with the arrow thing. But I can live with that as long as plays are not easily broken like what we had in 2K10.

In 2k10 you can also do step-back after step-back.
