The game looks really smooth. The shot fake and pass fake are really done well IMO. The dribble animations we can see look to compliment players much better than in previous versions. Guys get up into their shot better too, looks more momentum based and less animation based. Guys are moving around much better, a better sense of urgency as was said in a previous developer insight.

From the way the guy is playin' in the demo as Dallas, it has me wondering if the new control scheme will have me in the virtual practice court ironing things out. In any event, me and thumbs cannot wait!!!! (how am I suppose to graduate law school with this?! j.k.)

Hey I'm with ya. At first I wasn't sure if perhaps I was just unfamiliar with the backs of each of these teams' jerseys, and maybe the scrunched name is new on the Mavs uniforms this season, but here's a normal shot of Dirk:

Really appreciate the videos from the looks of the videos i dont really see player control for example the automatic crossover when the defender reaches might be wrong tho gotta get hands on the demo sig shots look good and it also looks like they payed attention to upgrading player models just hope we have more control.......we can only wait and see

i'm so happy i pre-orderd my game from a UK website because i see this one is in french and i can imagine 2K would make the same mistake as EA's Fifa by giving belgian players a french or dutch version with no english!

Overal very happy with what I see in these videos. Looks like they really made big steps this year.. it just looks much more polished already.

Love the animations, the sig shots and presentation is looking more authentic than ever..

I can not wait to see what else you guys have done for us this year...
I don't want to jump the gun on anything but I think we are in for some pretty major discoveries this year. I am seeing some major stuff already, J kidd's court awareness, locomotion, improved double team...this game is gonna be a beast this year.. I am seeing that 2k has definitely been listening to our gripes..I just hope online is fixed from cheesing enough for me to have some good games online...(please God...lol

Also I had to wonder if a create a player is in the starting line up or a generated rookie will he appear of be a blacked out shadow?? It looks great but will ruin the look if its a black shadow outline.

We had a thread a while back where people were listed fixes that 2k needed to make to jerseys/courts etc (ie wrong fonts or incorrectly sized fonts on courts/jerseys, wrong shades of colours etc....etc....etc....)

Has anyone noticed if any of this was changed with respect to the Heat or Mavs ???

I dont use neither of those teams so I cant tell (if it was some Raptors footage from the ACC, I could you exactly what fixed/not fixed...LOL), has anyone noticed anything different ?

i know that MSG has been fixed even though they dont have the logo for MSG they have the 3 dornas in game

i think they gave some love to all the courts minsta

I had to seriously do a double take on the video. I thought I was watching as real NBA broadcast. Stunning graphics & animation.

hey thanks DaWolf for not being selfish of keep the nba 2k11 to yourselves over there at germany and share it with the world(particularly with the good ppl here @ OS)

just to elaborate a bit on what i am hyped about

the foot planting is by far so obvious and overwhelming to see
the weight of the players as they move and jump
the minimal herky jerky animations have been removed when doing small movements
the animations in general but mostly the change of paste motions and the shooting out of motion shots look deliciously beautiful
the zoom in on players after made baskets dont interup the flow of the game its in and out smoothly
collisions are life-like and relevant on the ground and in the air
the AI is active as a human user in terms of awareness both defensively and offensively i.e finding the open man, cutting to get open with ergency ,actually trying to finish on the fast break and taking end of quarter shots with relevant end of quarter shooters(not 87% time the pg like 2k10) on offense and playing passing lanes and closing out on defense.....in one instance i saw a guy trying to shoot a 3 with haywood but he was pump faking a lot..i was glad that AI saged off and even better never left his feet to try blocking such a ridiculous attempt at 3
the animations that the camara zoom in on after a viloation with the ball handler holding the ball unlike previous nb2k he dont just drop the ball like its hot and run down court, he reacts toss the ball over to the refs it seems(caron butler in one of the video) or just put the ball down after reactions

the only thing that is a little off but not a problem is the fake pass...it never jump out to me that there was no sense or emphasis or wasnt convincingly done but maybe it has determinational factor as to who does em from lets say Brandon Haywood to say Rajon Rando

so far so good am so in love with a game i havent even met yet

they reeeeeally have to fix those high off the backboard layups, that kind of stuff will eat away at me while I'm trying to play this game in a realistic way.

it's like they based their layup model on some of rondo's crazy layups high off the top with the english on to get it over a big...but these were not contested. so basicaly we saw guys with open layins deciding to make the shot more difficult and lay it up off the backboard way above the square...very odd looking. please tell me this is being corrected 2k!

otherwise, can't wait..
