"For gameplay you should notice that larger players cannot jump as high to swat down passes making things look and feel more authentic. In Dynasty mode, it means two things. First, the majority of the teams in Dynasty will be slightly better than before due to having access to higher rated Prospects and slightly better progression. Second, CPU teams will do a much better job of accurately filling their rosters."
I personally think to take care of the overall issue of it being inflated, there needs to be a reprogramming of how attributes affects overalls for every single position. It seems that with the addition over the years of things like spin, juke, stiff arm, blocking attributes, etc..., it becomes too easy to over inflate the ratings. Changes on how attributes affects overall of the players will allow recruits stats to be bumped up to default roster values and it will reduce the over inflated roster ratings. It will virtually bring down almost every single player to a lower overall but keeps their tendencies true to their playing style and it leaves room for high 90 overalls to be exclusive to ultra dominant, all around players at the select position.
I mostly agree with this. It would go a long way in fixing some of these problems
You have to activate the online pass. If you don't have a working online pass, you have to either buy it or 'kick rocks (awesome, btw)'.
Am I the only one to see an INCREASE in the number of batted balls since DLing the tuner? I swear I played this game since the day it came out and only had one or two, and since the tuner, the number has jumped through the roof.
Though now that I think about it, I did have a QB graduate and a new, less talented QB took over. Wonder if that has something to do with it? Regardless, way too many for it to have been "fixed".
I really am frustrated at the lack of progress on this tuning patch. I enjoy the gameplay and everything but my only reason for buying NCAA is Dynasty. And now I STILL cant play the thing because the tuner still is creating such a disparity in my experience. Teams are still hoarding recruits at certain positions, teams are still declining steadily over the years (some teams maybe should get better and some worse but not everyone getting even worse). The number of D- teams is still staggering and the CPU depth chart issues are making the in game experience less fun.
I feel like I have bought a 60 dollar game to just sit on the shelf and catch dust while I hope and wait for EA to fix the game.
I have refused to buy an EA football game for the last couple years because of the continuing issues in gameplay and dynasty and I am quickly starting to regret my decision to break that pact.
Did the tuning patch aim to fix just lineman batting balls down? Because I feel like the superhuman linebackers are still a problem, I'm seeing linebackers on teams like FAU FIU ULL make unbelievable rediculous jump interceptions and knockdowns. This is easily the most frustrating thing in the game for me so far.

Same. I had Chris Gallipo from USC (granted a good LB) intercept 3 passes. 1 was an over-the shoulder Willie Mays style catch. Another was a passed he tipped and morphed to catch on the juggle. The last was a stand-still leaping INT to an intended WR running 15-20 yds behind him.

I too had a Willie Mays style catch, the only wrinkle is the man on ULL that made that catch was a Dlineman...
I'm unaware what all the griping is about. I rolled two games last night with Patch # 2 and the Live Tuning, on AA, default sliders. I downloaded the Livetuning and patch #2 at the same time, so I'm unsure if one reax can be attributed to one or the other
1) Punt/Kick returns are doable again. I got snuffed for 2 yards on a punt return--but because I deserved it. I actually feel like I have a chance. Several kick offs were returned to the 35 yard line.
2) Dirtied jerseys.
3) Outside runs stopped -- sometimes. The CPU D got noticeably better. I utilize heavy run-first offense, and I had FSU's Jermaine Thomas average 160 yards a game. In the two post-patch games (versus UNC, Clemson--admittedly tough Ds, but I had also faced Oklahoma, Miami as well), I got about 70 yards each game. My quicker backup did have some success.
4) CPU run Offense also was better. For the first time all year, the CPU ripped off a long running TD. It was Clemson's RB stud. he got a 85 yard TD or so, simply by juking my FS when I sent the house.
Sorry for being out of the loop, but was there another Live Tuning Update? I logged on and downloaded the patch this morning, and then it said I had out of date tuners, but I donwleaded the LTP last week when it came out...... If there was a second anyone know what they tuned again?
I wonder why it had me download it twice? (last week and after dload 2nd patch) That makes me nervous now that I have to be logged on to have the LTP go into affect.
I downloaded the patch last night when prompted for an update, but it made no mention of tuner sets (I didn't download it last week when it came out). Is patch #2 and the latest tuner set wrapped up into one download or am I missing something here?
I have to jump through a lot of hoops and rearrange a lot of equipment to go on-line to XBox Live, so I don't do it very often, otherwise I'd check again myself.

I'm pretty sure they're two separate downloads. You need to have Online Pass enabled to get the tuner, but not for the patch. If you bought the game used or are renting, it costs $10 for an Online Pass code. If you bought new, the code should be on the manual.

Thanks. I had no idea. This would have been nice to know.
